Joanna Michaels was born in Newark, NJ in 1945. She earned a bachelors degree in creative writing from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL, and an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte. Michaels is currently at work on her second novel featuring new P.I. Callie Sinclair. Michaels lives in Sarasota, FL.

A terrific read! A well formed story that gets and holds your attention. The accuracy and detail that Ms. Michaels evidences about the life of a nun is impressive in its accuracy. Do yourself a favor and get this one.

A great read, a great mystery - a page turner. Michaels takes the reader on a journey through a convent, a lesbian bar, and a whodoneit with twists and turns. I love the characters,the interaction and the suspense. I felt sad when the book was over -- I wanted more.
