When I heard Nura on the Smoothie Awards Winners compilation cd with Smoothjazz.com, her voice struck me like an angelic siren!! She transcends the music and totally uplifts the listener. No cliche singing here....absolutely original all the way!!! Her voice will stay with me for a long time and her album a treasure.

A hybrid sound of new age jazz and Astrid Gilberto!! Absolutely gorgeous music.

Man...if you're into bass playing, you've got to check this album out. Couldn't believe my ears...never heard a bass player play solos like that!! Great compositions, superbly done...and Nura's vocals hypnotized me. This music is definately paving a new direction in jazz as far as I'm concerned!!!

Finally...a smooth jazz artist that really gets the emotions going! Especially enjoyed Ice Curved Trees. It really moved me. The music and the lyrics send such a positive message. Nura, you are a bright light indeed! Thankyou.

I listen to a wide variety of music and this cd accomodates a lot of my tastes -all in one cd!!!! I wouldn't limit this album to Smooth Jazz....it transcends that by far! What an original sound! Thanks Nura....you'll be in my cd player for a long time.

of music variety!!!! This cd took me for quite a ride. I found myself breathless by the end. The vocals are most unique and refreshing, the solos blew me away, especially when I found out it was the bass player and the compositions are supreme!!! Bravo Nura!! I can't wait for the next.

Sometimes you should treat yourself to albums like this.
Sometimes you should open you mind to the fact that the voice is an instrument like any other.
Sometimes you should accept that a bass can be played like a piano, like a lead guitar, like a voice.
Sometimes you should discover that music can transport you to a warm summer day or a freezing cold winter evening, have you sitting with friends or in solitude.
This CD will do all this.

Wow....I am blown away by this music! I've never heard anything that captures so many elements of music....it really moved me. I've been a fan of smooth jazz for years...this transcends that! It is definately one of my picks if I was to be stranded on a desert island. I highly recommend this cd....it's full of beauty...and heart!!!

I am reviewing this cd BEFORE I have even received it. I have just heard this angelic voice on wave 94.7 here in Toronto and checked their playlist as I HAD to have this in my collection. This girl knows her music and believe me..believe the hype you read on here..IF there is a cd you MUST buy without even listening to it and be guaranteed one heck of a musical journey this is IT!!!

I have heard Nura's "Rue Claredon" on internet radio SmoothJazz.com and my breath was taken away!!! I was on a mission to get her CD the next day I was out to the record stores to find her but didn't have any success! It was a task because she is not well known or promoted here in the US. I'm well beyond impressed with her CD however yet disappointed that she is not mainstream here as she is in Canada!! My favorites tracks are #'s 1,3,4,5 and 6 but over all the CD is HOT! I will say shame on Amazon for having such limited quantities!!Please restock so other Smooth Jazz listeners can enjoy the Smooth Vocals of Nura!!! :)
