Nurpu
A great movie for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities. This movie is made quite well. I only spotted one editing snafu. I was amazed, as you will be, by the camera shots and the skill of the kayakers in this movie. The movie shows what serious whitewater kayaking is all about. Was expecting more.
First off...this is a good film...I was just expecting more. More what??? More footage...it's relatively short. More content...it's ho-hum. More umph...it's tame. The scenery is beautiful. The video is clear and crisp. I found it difficult to keep up with which location they were boating while I was viewing the DVD. Perhaps a little naration would have...

A great movie for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities. This movie is made quite well. I only spotted one editing snafu. I was amazed, as you will be, by the camera shots and the skill of the kayakers in this movie. The movie shows what serious whitewater kayaking is all about. I own a couple ski movies and one bike movie, and Nurpu was a great addition to my library. Bottom line-beautiful surroundings, great athletes, and good cinematography add up to an amazing movie.

First off...this is a good film...I was just expecting more.More what??? More footage...it's relatively short. More content...it's ho-hum. More umph...it's tame. The scenery is beautiful. The video is clear and crisp. I found it difficult to keep up with which location they were boating while I was viewing the DVD. Perhaps a little naration would have helped. I am a novice whitewater enthusiast (so those more experienced may disagree), but the stuff they were playing on only gave me a "hey...wow...look at that ..." a couple of times. It's good...I was just expecting more.

Great action, high quality picture, spectacular footage. Could have substituted some of the hippie stuff for more paddling action. I can go to the park and watch people meditate and play footbag for free. Overall Nurpu is an extremely well done film with fairly continuous action coupled with a good soundtrack.
