I purchased this book but returned it. I was disappointed with the creativity in each room. They all seemed very basic and were all in the "cottage style" type of them. There really weren't any amazing ideas to try in it at all. I've seen more innovative rooms on the rate my space page.

I've flipped through many nursery books and this book is beyond compare. Buy this book if you're looking for modern beautiful and unique styles. The book does cover 'vintage' decor aswell but the authors have done it in a very current and modern way that most moms our time will love. It comes with design tips that help you cut your budget aswell. I feel that, if you're the type of parent that wants to decorate a nursery without it looking too childish or toys'r'us looking this books is for you. A fantastic find for me.

I thought this book had some good information on how to set up a nursery. It's good for people with no previous experience of what goes in a nursery and how to select a color palette. The pictures are great visuals for those that want to create a livable space. If you prefer dramatics and something over-the-top, the pictures will not likely be inspirational. I would have given in five stars if it had a few more pictures of each type of room. But once I used their tips on finding our style, it was easier to seek out inspiration on the internet.

Still in shock after finding out we're expecting twins, and then totally daunted by the task of putting together a gender-neutral nursery that would reflect our personality, I was lucky enough to be guided towards Serena & Lily's book. Rather than copy someone else's design, I used the information and the gorgeous photos to come up with a personality-filled nursery for our little boy and girl due any day now. We're just putting the finishing touches in there, and the room turned out exactly as we had hoped. Check out their catalog and website, too, for more ideas and inspiration.

I found this book to be worth every penny. The inspiration in decor can be applied on any budget, which is the beauty of the authors' suggestions. I thumb through this book every night and seem to find something I hadn't noticed before each time I do. I love this publication!

This is an amazing Nursery book, it does not matter if you are vintage, classic or modern in your taste. It's very instructive on how to create a one of kind nursery. Loved It! Beautiful rooms and ideas!

if you are looking for a modern pulled-together nursery, head straight to this book. beautifully photographed but not just a coffee table book-- plenty of very practical suggestions. lots of hands-on information like colour scheme suggestions, discussion of four different characteristic nursery styles (all with modern examples of their completion), etc.

i honestly feel a bit more educated about decorating after reading this book; have a brainstorm list of suggestions that came up or that i was inspired from reading through the book; and just had a great time with the eye-candy. highly recommended.

this book contains great IDEAS for your nursery. actually buying the products from serena and lily may be too expensive for your budget, but you can use their ideas to transform your own nersery into a gorgeous room like they showcase--only at YOUR budget!

I honestly had high expectations for this book, based on the Serena and Lily website. However, I can get more inspiration from looking at the Pottery Barn catalogue than this book. It just seemed insubstantial and boring. What might have given it more substance is if they actually bothered to tell you where all the featured furniture is from, or what the paint colours are. Instead, I get a few patronising words about various decorating styles and a colour wheel! The nurseries featured are boring and impractical. Is anyone really going to use a Louis XVI chair as a feeding station? Also, there's a blurb in there about crib safety but no mention at all about the fact that crib bumpers are a BIG NONO when it comes to SIDS. Guess that would interfere with their crib bumper sales.
