About the Author
Shirley H. Fondiller, EdD, RN, FAAN, an internationally known journalist, educator, and historian, is cofounder and principal of Publishing for Health Dimensions (phd), an editorial service for nurses and health professionals. She is an adjunct associate professor at Teachers College, Columbia University. In addition to her longtime interest in career counseling, she has published extensively in the health field.
Barbara J. Nerone, APR, has a broad background in the communications field. She has written and edited articles for nursing journals as well as publications of national associations and service agencies. For two decades, she served as executive editor of Imprint, the journal of the National Student Nurses' Association.

THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES THE MANY DIFFERENT ROLES OF NURSING AND GIVES RN'S A PICTURE OF WHERE HEALTHCARE IS GOING. FOR THE NURSE WANTING TO EXPAND BEYOND THE TRADITIONAL NURSING ROLE, THIS IS A WONDERFUL RESOURCE WHICH DEPICTS THE MANY FACETS OF NURSING. THIS BOOK ALSO INCLUDES THE ADDRESSES TO MANY NURSING ASSOCIATIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS. I RATED THE BOOK A 9 ONLY BECAUSE IT DID NOT HAVE PHONE NUMBERS OR INTERNET ADDRESSES, WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT.
