5.0 out of 5 stars Good resource., November 1, 2011

I'm working on my Master's in Nursing. I'm not into theory quite frankly, so I don't use this book for 'reading' I use it for resource and for trying to understand Orem's theory. For all you nursing students like me, that have to take Theory, and have difficulties getting a grasp on the various theories, this book is an excellent and reasonable priced book to help you. I have used the book several times already for presentations and will be keeping it after I get done with my non-thesis project, as a reference book. For you theory loving folks, this book is a must have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Oldy but Goody, August 5, 2011

This is an older book, about one of nursing's first theorists.
Dorothea Orem looked at what the deficits were for the patient.
