5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely helpful
If you are confused about how exactly NIC and NOC work and fit into care plans, this book will be a great asset for you. It reallly helped me understand and begin forming care plans. It is a little bit different layout than other books of this type, but it is very helpful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cover is different but CONTENT is the SAME
I ordered this book hoping that it would have supplemental information in it to the Nurse's pocket guide by Doenges and Moorhouse, which I already have. The content is EXACTLY the SAME. So if you already have the pocket guide don't bother ordering. This is the same book with a different title. Just spent $3.99 shipping it back!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Care Plan Book, December 2, 2007
By
This is an amazing book for doing care plans. Think of your patient and what characteristics they have. Then apply the nursing diagnosis. If they use a walker, have unsteady gait, think of a fall risk. This book will help you identify patient characteristics and apply it in a logical way to your care plans. Very beneficial to nursing students. Also referenced for specific disorders. What nursing diagonsis are applied to patients with diagnosis of pneumonia or edema. The will be the best care plan book on your shelf.

In our program they use Carpinito mostly but allow other sources as you prefer, I found myself using this book for every single care plan, its easy to look up NANDAs by diagnosis which is super handy and reliable----this book was a God-send for me and my care planning! I always exceeded the required grade on my care plans using this book.

This book is amazing... but it was so expensive brand new I didnt want to spend the money when I already had a care plan book i could use. Im glad I located it on Amazon and actually got it because it is wonderful. It breaks down the care plans in to catagories by NANDA statndards and makes it so much easier to piece together what I need for my patients!!!!

Very helpful for clinicals and fundamental classes. This book makes care plans easy. Everybody was using it in clinicals- passing it around, waiting for their turn. Glad I had my own.

The book is kind of old-school so somewhat hard to follow, but the shipper is great -- I got it quickly!
