Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous - relatively small book crammed with info that is invaluable to students learning to write care plans. It's my go to book and all my friends are borrowing it too. You get NANDA, NIC and NOC material to work with. I have seen lots of care plan books, but this is the easiest and most complete to work with - AWESOME. The older edition is fine if you want to save money.

Having spent a small fortune on nursing careplan and nursing diagnosis books, this one is a must have. It is easy to follow and has sections for adult,pediatric,geriatric and adolescent health care with diagnosis,interventions,rationales and expected outcomes as well as assessments,defining characteristics, associated medical diagnoses and documentation. My care plans grades improved with the use of this book as well as the ease of writing those dreaded care plans.

I have spent a couple hundred dollars on nursing diagnosis handbooks and I always come back to this one! I have not had a bad review from an instructor on my care plans or should I say a bunch of RED markings on my paper. This book is a MUST have for any nursing student....bet you a new book you will get awesome grades for your care plans!

This is an excellent care plan book. It takes you through the possible goals, interventions, and rationales for each diagnosis and even gives suggestions for assessment data to collect. It also has a small appendix with nursing diagnoses by illness. Every illness is not listed in this section, but a lot are.

The content is truly helpful when writing careplans. However, I'm writing this review because the paperback 5th edition is FALLING APART before I even finish my first assignment. Pages are literally falling out and I've barely begun to use this book! This is a quality problem that Springhouse should address. Students pay premium $$ for these books -- they ought to have a durable binding!

I found this book to be so helpful. Although, it's a slightly older edition then the current one avaliable, it still got the job done.
