The purpose of this series is not to TEACH. It provides a testing tool; practice questions for exam or NCLEX prep. If you want to learn about calcium channel blockers, read your textbook or turn to one of Lippincotts other books. I also recommend Lippincott's Clinical Pharmacology Made Incredibly Easy book. The text my prof used in my pharm class was very poor. But I read it anyway. Then, when I was beginning my prep for each exam, I would read through the Made Incredibly Easy chapters in the drug classes specific to what my exam would cover. Then I would use the software to practice. I found this very helpful with probably THE hardest class a nursing student has to slog through.

"Don't Listen To Mr. Know-It-All" GREAT SERIES of Books!,
By GeminiNurse "JJ" (Henderson, Nevada USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Nursing Pharmacology Made Incredibly Easy! (CD-ROM for Windows and Macintosh) (CD-ROM)
I totally DISAGREE with the inappropriate review from the so-called educated "SNOB" trying to knock the entire series down by labeling prospective buyers as lazy and only looking for quick and easy ways to learn! I personally own seven books from the Incredibly Easy/Visual Series and would HIGHLY recommend all of them. They are wonderful books. I am a visual learner myself and things started clicking for me when I put this series of books together with my text books.
If Mr. Las Vegas REALLY has an ADVANCED degree, then why did he purchase a book with this title in the first place? Is he a professor or something and looking for a supplement book for his pupils? I am a nursing student with Adult ADHD/Bipolar Disorder. I also carry a 3.97 GPA and it's NOT EASY by a long-shot. I think if a person can find a book that helps them halfway understand the subject matter better, then power to them! EVERYONE LEARNS DIFFERENTLY at different paces.

Nursing Pharmacology Made Incredibly Easy!,
By Jess (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Nursing Pharmacology Made Incredibly Easy! (Incredibly Easy! Series) (Paperback)
I bought this book because I like the Incredibly Easy! series. I wanted a pharmacology review and this book is great for that. The illustrations help me remember things easier along with key facts written in highlighted boxes. The nursing process is also used for each drug classification and there are good education tips in this book. It was a great purchase.

Good Adjunctive,
By HeartsOpenWide (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Nursing Pharmacology Made Incredibly Easy! (Incredibly Easy! Series) (Paperback)
I think this book is a good adjunctive to a text book. I generally read a chapter after I read the same subject in my test book. It works as a great review and wraps things up. I would not toss my text book out for this one however.

Nursing Pharmacology Made Incredibly Easy! (Incredibly Easy! Series) (Paperback),

I purchased this book based on the recommendation of other nursing students. This book is easy to read. However, this book lacks information that is essential for nursing students taking a pharmacology course. The information which needs to be added to future editions is the trade and generic drug names of each drug and the mechanism of action of each drug mention in the book. I hope the editors will make these improvements. However on the positive side this book has easy to read introductions of the different drug types.

Great For What It Is...,
By J. M. Taylor "Livin' life by the drop" (Omaha, Nebraska United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Nursing Pharmacology Made Incredibly Easy! (Incredibly Easy! Series) (Paperback)
...and what it is is a good supplement to your regular pharmacology textbook. I chose this book over the many other available options because it was written in an easily-accessible style for a nursing student (me). The text book my class uses is good and very thorough, but that is also it's downside. Pharm is so broad that there is a lot of info to cover. This book is great as a companion piece - it breaks down drugs into classes and tells you a bit about the classes. If you need to memorize multiple, specific drugs for each class, this book isn't as great. But if you want to know the specifics of, say, NSAID's, then this book certainly helps. It's real strength is that it sticks to the pertinent info, and doesn't flood the reader with details that may or may not be important. This won't replace your text, but will give you a concise 'second opinion'.

I have several books from the Incredibly Easy series but this one kind of disappointed me. I wish they would have included more illustrations and mneumonics, to help you memorize the content.

Wonderful book that is easy to read and navigate! Only the generic drug names are listed though which is it's only disadvantage, in my opinion. It's very helpful in looking up drugs/drug classes and very easy to read. It has excellent information too.

Not Inceadibly Easy!,

Is a great book! You may use it as a reference, but not as a learning tool. I would not recommend for visual learners!
