For doctors, nurses, pharmacists--the greatest book
It may seem a little pricey, but this text is well worth it. It's tremendous index is the secret. I can find in under 30 sec any drug available on the American market complete with uses, side effects, and alternative labeling. If you are a health professional, and get only one book....GET THIS ONE !!!!

Not pleased
What you really want for your assignment is the disk so you just have to cut and paste into your reports. But the disk for this book only gives the top 100 drugs and therefore is no good. I recommend the Prentice Hall Nursing Drug Guide 2008. The disk lets you look up all drugs and cut and past. I ended up borrowing my roomates. I don't even look up the Mosby book. It...

Love the fact that it's alphabetized so it makes it easier and a lot quicker to find the medication. One bad thing about it is that if you don't know know both the generic or brand name, you'll end up going to the index which sucks when you're in a hurry.

This book is much better than LWW's because all the drugs are in alpha order. In addition, it gives tips on piggybacks, off-label uses and other drug interactions that inc or dec its effect. Of course it has the nursing alerts, assessments, interventions and patient education. I bought this book specifically for my clinicals this year and wish I had bought it for previous clinicals. This book is a must on the floor. I use it everyday.

This is a good resource for drugs. It includes t1/2, common confusions in drug names, nursing considerations, interventions, interactions and more. I always carry this reference with me to school.

This is the second time I have bought an edition of Mosby's Nursing Drug Reference books. Last one was 2006 edition. I find it easy to use, easy to read and easy to locate drug in question. I am a Medical Trauma Coder and would not be with out it. Would highly recommend this reference book: "Mosby's 2008 Nursing Drug Reference". M. Robinson
