5.0 out of 5 stars great SAFE bottles
I don't know what issue is with person who says they can't get bottle brush through opening as any brush will work. It IS a standard size opening and any basic bottle brush fits EASILY (we have 3 different brushes and they ALL fit). We currently have 9 of the 8 oz and 3 of the 4 oz and love the safety and cleanliness of glass bottle with nitrile nipples. This is the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good as a Bottle, Bad as Nothing Works With It
As a bottle, this is a good one. I've dropped one a few times with no break or chip. And the environmental aspects and chemical free aspects of it are wonderful.

However, our biggest frustration with this bottle is the narrow opening. We have tried three different bottle brushes so far, and none of them fit through the opening. If anyone finds a bottle brush...

5.0 out of 5 stars great SAFE bottles, November 21, 2009
This review is from: NurturePure - Glass Bottles - 8 oz. 3 Pack (Baby Product)
This is the safest types to use and while I would not hesitate to drink from plastic myself, when you consider this is ONLY thing baby is eating from every day and my little angel is only a small fraction of my size - welllll huge reason to be as safe as possible. 2 of the smaller bottles did lose some of the marks on outside (note outside) of bottel but all others have not lost any. We do usually wash all parts in dishwasher and use sanitize setting which is very hot. The nipples also reduce gas and colic. At 3 months old now I do realize the small 4 oz were nice to have but surely wouldn't have got more then the 3 we started with as already eating 6-8 oz at a time and mixing small bottles is more of a hassle. The glass on these are thick and sturdy. I have not tried bouncing them off the floor, but feel like they are tougher than a standard drinking glass.

5.0 out of 5 stars Have Worked Well for 4 Months, February 28, 2011
This review is from: NurturePure - Glass Bottles - 8 oz. 3 Pack (Baby Product)
These are a a great safe and affordable alternative to other glass bottles. I read an article several months ago where advertised "non-toxic" BPA free bottles leaked chemicals they weren't supposed to leak. The authors of the study found several brands that didn't. I was relieved to read that Nurture Pure was one of them that didn't! These bottles are non-toxic and free of Bisphenol A, pthalates and other plastics such as Polycarbonate and PVC. The nipples are silicone, latex-free, allergen-free and free of nitrosamines. There are small vent slits around the bottom of the nipple that can leak if your baby does not have the proper latch. Stick with the bottles - your baby will adapt to them. Ours never had this problem and they have worked well for her, but I agree with the reviewer that stated Dr. Brown's nipples are a good alternative. We have been occasionally using Dr. Brown's y-cut cereal nipples and they work great. I am really shocked that Nurture Pure aren't more popular given how safe and relatively inexpensive they are!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good bottle, bad nipple, July 6, 2010
This review is from: NurturePure - Glass Bottles - 8 oz. 3 Pack (Baby Product)
These bottles are really great. They are safe & strong. My only complaint is that the nipples have "vents", which leak every time my baby takes a drink. I purchased some nipples made by Dr. Brown's, and that solved the problem. These bottles are priced right, even considering the fact that you will probably have to replace the nipples. I would still recommend these bottles.
