Holly Allen has done an amazing job editing this volume! Nurturing Children's Spirituality is a valuable resource for professors, students and practitioners, and is a must-read for any church or children's ministry course. Definitions of spirituality plus the historical and theological overview provide a solid foundation for clarity in this field. Best practices for churches, schools, families and specific populations contain rich examples of hands-on ministries that merge theory with practical application. The final section focuses on the future of children's spirituality and challenges those of us who are serious about nurturing children to explore new, creative ways to do so within the context of family and church ministry. (Author, Keeping You & Your Kids Sexually Pure: A How-To Guide for Parents, Pastors, Youth Workers and Teachers)

This book is like a textbook with lots of information that that could be used in an in-depth study class. It is chalk full of information about children's spirituality in the context of their development. It has many different author's perspectives on differnt aspects of how children develop their spirituality. Good for anyone in children's ministry.
