I grew up with this version of the Nutcracker and just love it. The skating is so beautiful and takes my breath away. It really gives a warm feeling of Christmas. I recommend this version to anyone that would loves the Nutcracker or anyone who just wants to hear the music.

of all the nutcracker performances this one rates best for all ages. the beautiful dorthy hamill just captivates the audience and the nutcracker robin cousins skates with an intensity and ability that chartarizes the movement of ballet on ice. amazing

This is the a must have for any Christmas Movie collection. I remember watching this as a child and this past Christmas my daughter started watching it. Of course at 2 years old her attention span lasted only 20 minutes but I know that over time she will love it as well. It is very well put together and could never be replaced by any other. I just wish someone would put it out on DVD, the VHS I bought for my sister and I was used but said it was like new. However, it appeared as thought it had been played several times over and was poor quality. Spend the extra money and buy a new one! Highly recommend this video!!!
