I foolishly thought this was a "regular" recording of The Nutcracker which my daughter wanted for Christmas. I hurriedly ordered it and when it arrived I was a bit disappointed because it clearly was not a traditional recording. However, the first time I listened to it I loved it and it just keeps growing..I urge you to give it a try. The music is very jazz oriented and so mellow. It is unbelievable and I am so happy that I ordered this "by mistake"!

Not my favorite arrangement of the music. I prefer more classical, orchestral performances true to the intended sounds by the author. I guess I'm just old-fashioned!
