Hempseed is considered by leading researchers and medical doctors to be one of the most nutritious food sources on the planet. Shelled hempseed is packed with 33% pure digestible protein and is rich in iron and vitamin E as well as omega-3 and GLA. A recent report funded by the Canadian government states that hemp protein comprises 66% high-quality edistin protein, and that hempseed contains the highest percentage of this of any plant source. Unlike soy, hemp is not genetically modified, and it doesn't contain the anti-nutritional qualities commonly found in soy.

These might appease your sweet tooth while providing excellent nutrition in a 200 calorie natural food bar. They are not overly chocolately like those chocolate covered protein bars: the bar has delicious chocolate throughout with a terrific crunch of sesame, flax, and sunflower seeds. I'm hypoglycemic and they are perfect to keep in the car for the quick pick up to prevent the need for glucose and a true crisis. I highly recommend. Oh, I have ordered both from Nutiva and from Amazon: Amazon is less expensive and faster delivery.

Highly recommended! These bars are great for those who want a healthy,efa packed bar with organic ingredients minus the artificial sweetened and sugar packed bars. Plus the great combination of hemp and flax will satisfy your nutritional needs when in a bind or pressed for time. You will not be dissapointed unless you're used to the overly sweetened aspartame unhealthy whey bars with a synthetic taste. Shipped very fast and arrived in good condition. I will be ordering these again.

The flavor satisfies in so many ways. Other health bars either have an after taste or have a gritty texture. This bar satisfies your sweet tooth and doesn't leave you with that sugar crash. Very balanced bar. Try it, you won't be disappointed. If you are disappointed it'll be because you're not used to eating these type of foods.
