5.0 out of 5 stars conservative management for cruciate ligament tear
Vet said surgery, research showed this product helpful in repair of cruciate ligament tear recovery. This product has helped both of my lab's get back to their active selves. Say no to surgery and yes to helping your pets live healthier lives.

1.0 out of 5 stars my Dog won't eat them. No good for us.
I was hoping my dog would like the tast and smell of these - but she turns away from them. I try to disguise them in her food- that doesn't work either. I am out 35 bucks I guess.

5.0 out of 5 stars Have really helped my old dog, April 30, 2009
This review is from: Nutramax Cosequin DS Double Strength Chewable Tablets - 90 Count (Misc.)
My vet recommended these for my 14 year old Bichon. Her arthritis was so bad that she couldn't even bear to be touched some days but after starting on this she is like her old self, running and even doing the "Bichon Blitz" which she hadn't done in years. It's helped her tremendously. The effect is built up over time and she was given shots to speed up the process before starting the tablets but it's been nearly a year and she has not had any more of the "too painful" episodes so far even though the vet said it was possible since her arthritis was so severe. The tablets are beef flavored (at least they smell like they are) and she gobbles the half tablet she gets a day like they are a treat. Amazon's price is half what the vet's was.

I have a medium sized dog who is 10 years old. She has a deformity in her front paw to where she only has one toe and the claws are bend sideways. This has been a huge arthritis issue since she was a puppy. Recently, with age, it has been noticeably worse. When we would go on walks about 1/2 way through the walk she would start limping on her lame paw. My vet recommended that she take a joint supplement to help with the pain. She has been taking Cosequin DS at 2 pills a day for approximately a month and a half. This week I have dropped down her dose to the maintenance level of 1 pill a day. She does not limp any more on her bad paw and seems to have more spunk. she loves the flavor (they smell like meat and cheese) and when she hears me grab the bottle she comes-a-runnin' (don't tell her, but she thinks they are a treat)I would recommend this to anyone who is considering a joint supplement

Great Seller! Will be back for future purchases. This is a great product; I have been using it on my 9 year old 55 lb Collie Mix....she still limps somewhat, but I have seen much improvement. She has been on Cosequin for about 5 weeks now. Much cheaper online.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cosequin DS, June 9, 2008

I have purchased through Amazon many times in the past, but this time I was disappointed. Two issues: (1)In your ad for Cosequin you show a photo of 120 count bottle however in your description you fail to mention how many tabs are actually in the bottle. It was not until I received my confirmation that it was stated that it was a 90 count bottle. (2)The second issue was with Entirely Pets. I received an Empty padded envelope in the mail with my invoice. The envelope had never been sealed and the product apparently fell out during shipping. I did contact them and it took almost two weeks for them to replace the bottle. As far as the product goes, it does work. My dog is 12 years old and has arthritis in her hind legs. It really helps with her mobility. I have been using this product for many years and will continue to order it for her. I just wanted to notify you about the way the ad reads. It is misleading. Thank You, Sharon Plutnicki

5.0 out of 5 stars Best joint supplement, November 21, 2007

My 2 1/2 year old black purebread labrador retriever was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia in both elbows at 1 year old. The vet recommended Cosequin DS since he said it had the best quality incredients and was the most documented in scientific trials. I used it for 6 months, but tried to switch to a cheaper Dr. Foster and Smiths supplement. I noticed that my dog limped more while on the maintenance level so once my Dr. F&S supply ended, I went back to Cosequin DS and my dog hasn't limped at all (except after hard exercise which is normal). I buy in online now and not through my vet or Dr. F&S because I can find it cheaper.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXPIRED product received, December 10, 2011

This review is from: Nutramax Cosequin DS Double Strength Chewable Tablets - 90 Count (Misc.)
Although my dog has used this a for couple of years with wonderful results, this SELLER sold me an EXPIRED bottle.. expired by 4 MONTHS, I didn't notice the date right away b/c I used up the remaining few from my last bottle before opening this bottle ONE week later & didn't even think someone would sell an expired bottle. I noticed the pills in the new bottle were yellowish & then looked at the date which was 4 months Expired. I rate Cosequin as EXCELLENT...5 stars, changed my dogs life!!!, but this seller gets ZERO, and they will Not do anything about it.

My 12 year old black lab could hardly walk due to arthritis but after a friend suggested trying this product, she can practically run! This product has definitely improved her quality of life and has given me the peace of mind that she is not in pain (or very much) and can still remain mobile.

My dog Tobie is 9 years old and has had come lameness in his hind legs. He has some arthritus. He has always been a very active dog but in the last 6 months he has not been able to go up steps or even go for long walks. I started him on Cosequin DS about 3 months ago and I noticed a big change in his behavior. He is playing ball again and and going for some walks and is able to go up the stairs. I apprecciate the quick delivery of this item by Amazon. I have always been happy with their service and I especially apprecciate it since it has relieved Tobie's pain.
