I have 2 over 10 year old Bassets and the Dasuquin Soft Chews has made a huge difference.
They eagerly await their after dinner treat, gobble it down and then we go for our walk. I have noticed that they move easier, want to ramble & explore longer and aren't dragging when we come back. They even have more energy.
This is a great product and I highly recommend it.

I am very pleased with how much these help. My Pug Sassy was getting to the point where she could hardly go up and down stairs by herself. Walks had to be very short. After a little over one month of feeding these to her she is walking noticeably better. She can now actually run up and down the stairs!

This product is what has been advised for my 13 year old Brittany. He is a bit slow and stiff. I had been using another product called Flexile, which I can't seem to find in stock anywhere.

I cannot evaluate a difference if any exists. You will have to ask the dog...

I have an 8 yr old poodle that tore her ACL jumping off the couch playing. The vet gave me some options: surgery or try these pills and see if they help. In about 3 weeks she stopped limping. In 2 months she is playing around like she is a pup again. I would recommend this product to anyone who has animals with muscle/tendon/ortho issues.

We used Dasuquin with MSM with our almost 15 year old Shih Tzu per vet recommendations. After about a week diarrhea began and increased in frequency as time went on. It took a little while to recognize the cause as we had started other medications almost simultaneously but a web search, stopping each medication separately and waiting for the effect proved Dasuquin chews to be the cause.
It caused diarrhea about 4-5 hours after administration and extremely foul smelling stools. Numerous inquiries on the web can be found about this. We were not warned by the vet nor does the literature available that we received say anything about it. As it is a supplement versus a regulated medication, there is a typical lack of indications of adverse conditions.
As for its effectiveness otherwise, I cannot comment. The dog liked the taste and ate the chews readily but the consequences were terrible!

This Dasuquinn did not have MSM. Next time I'll look for that one. Otherwise it is fine. Our Dalmatian is 12+ years old (a rescue so we do not know for sure) and has no trouble chewing the tablet.

I have been using the pill tablet formular for a while and saw that you offer the soft chews now. My dog enjoys the soft chews much better because she thinks it's a treat rather than medicine. Will they have different favors in the future?

Good product, helps especially older dogs with joint problems, my 14 year old lab-Rottie was not walking because of hip pain... She started walking after we gave glucosamin/chondroitin to her. Science Diet has older dog food with both, we feed her that and ....Dasquin really boosted her abilities and was introduced to us by the Vet. It is interesting to see the price for the same product vary from $34 to $72 though! You have to search and search to get a reasonable deal.

This product has help relieve some pain for my 10 year old mini dachshund who suffers from arthritis. She is a lot more active and lively. In addition, she likes taking the chews and thinks they're treats not pills which she hates!

I had gotten the tablets from my vet and was pleased with the results my three dogs experienced. I thought I would save a couple of bucks and get the chews from Amazon. The product arrived promptly; however, I ordered and received in September, but the expiration date on the product was August, 2011. What the heck is up with that, Amazon? Needless to say, I returned and will get it from my vet from now on.
