I was on vacation and took my dog to a vet in another state. After three years, my local vet couldn't solve the problem of my dog's ears constantly getting infections. This vacation vet said the ear condition was probably related to a skin alergy. We talked about treatments and he recommended this product. He said this would help the skin alergy and thus help make make the ear less hospitable for infections. I was skeptical, but I tried it. A month later, my dog has NO skin alergy symptoms and his ears have completely healed! (I continue the normal ear cleaning procedures including weekly flushes). Side effect: his coat is very soft & silky!

We adopted a black lab from the pound with multiple issues. The vet recommended I give him the Welactin to improve his skin from allergies, shedding and dryness. I put two spoonfuls (spoon enclosed with product) in his breakfast bowl once per day. There was a noticeable result within a few days. I now have people stop me on the street and compliment him on the quality of his coat. I have not had any of the allergy issues since he has been using this product.

My lab is going to turn 14 the beginning of May. He has been on this product for a couple of years. I started using it because it was labeled for "old" dogs, but I also use it for one of my dogs who has a tendency to get skin allergies when she gets sneaked a food she is allergic to (she is allergic to beef, summertime cookouts can be a disaster...)

So now I have ALL my dogs on it. The omega three fatty acids help reduce inflammation, and it really improves the taste of their dog food. Obviously, because if I don't put it on they look at me like "are you forgetting something?"

I'd highly recommend this product for old and young dogs.
