My 1 yr old Golden Retriever mix had hip dysplasia in both hips. He had surgery on one side before I found this product. We thought he would need surgery on the other hip, but since he has been taking this for the past year he is doing fine! I can see the difference when he doesn't have it (we ran out once for a few days). I shopped around alot and tried other brands but I found this best. Some other types require anywhere from 4 - 8 tablets per day. Riley is 65 pounds and we give him 1 tablet twice a day. This seems to be the best quality, the least hassle, and the price is right.

I have had my dog on this for at least a year. He is an 80lb Dalmation mix that was starting to have problems getting up off the floor. I give him one in the morning and one at night. He has improved greatly. He has an occassional day that I have to give him a Rimadyl, but that is very rare. I was trying to hold off on starting him on Rimadyl as long as I could. My JR terrier that was on Rimadly for a few years developed a blood clotting disorder and we could not stop the bleeding, she died at the vets. I would recommend trying this in the veterinary strength and dont short the dose, and only go to the drugs if your dog does not respond to this stuff. Amazon is the cheapest place I can find this, and the 150ct is a good deal.

Our 12 year old lab does very well when he takes this for his back legs and hips. Without it he can barely get up.

Our lab/english bulldog mix is 5 years old with severe arthritis in both of her hips. On top of that, a couple years ago she had a partially torn ligament in her knee, which was clearly uncomfortable therefore she wouldn't walk or go outside to go potty - resulting in numerous bladder infections, weight gain, etc. Our vet suggested we put her on Dasuquin which her officed wanted to sell us like 180 pills for like $90. The vet told my husband that she didn't care where we got any type of glucosamine/chondroitin supplement, just that she had to be put on one. I went to Petco and bought this product, since it states on there it works best for previous injuries as well as dogs over the age of 7. It has given our dog a whole new life within a matter of 6 months. We take her on a mile walk every morning, she no longer limps from the pain in her hips and knee, and we very seldom give her Rimadyl, which is a relief that we can avoid hurting her liver just so she's pain free. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. I wish we had started her on it sooner. I wish I could give this item 50 stars!!

My dog has joint problems due to have contracting Lymes disease a few years ago and since she has been on these vitamins she doesn't get stiff and soar from excercise any more. Great product!

I have been giving this brand to my bulldog about a year, this variety about a month.
Chewable and easy on her delicate stomach. She likes them!
And I think they help her...

I adopted a dog with severe hip problems. The vet recommended supplements. I am on my second bottle and see a decided improvement in mobility.

My 12 year old Golden Retriever did very well under a different brand. Unfortunatley my local pet store stopped carrying the brand so I switched to NutriVet Level 3 Advanced Care for Dogs for his daily maintenance dose. Over time my dog's progress started to backslide. He got worse. I doubled the daily dose and he did improve, but not to the level under his previous brand. I just thought he was getting too old or his condition deteriorated beyond the help of supplements. I researched the issue and found an article about a ConsumerLab study on joint supplements for humans and dogs. The article stated that ConsumerLab's analysis of Nutri-Vet's Hip & Joint supplements hadn less than half the amount of glycosamine as stated on the lable, and less than one percent of the amount of chondroitin. I've put my dog on human supplements and he's improving rapidly.

The Nutri-Vet Hip & Joint Chewable Tabs seem to have helped ease our 13+ yr old female Australian Shepherd's arthritis. She likes the taste, so I don't have to hide it in cheese or peanut butter. (Yay!) Plus, we love being able to order it from Amazon in this bigger size with free shipping and ends up costing us less. (Even bigger Yay!)

This product really helps our 12 year old pug mix. When taking it he can keep up with most of the other younger dogs in his company.
