The product descripton says 'Made without Gluten or GMOs. Our Promise and Guarantee: We use only 100% pure pharmaceutical grade L-ascorbic acid USP-FCC* (C6H8O6), which contains no corn residue, plant antigens, or protein impurities.' I am now switching from NOW brand, which does use GMO corn to make their C, to this one. The 2.2 kg one is the way to go for economy too, love it. Makes a nice drink mixed with a bit of aluminium free bicarb soda.

This product is now recommended in a new nutrition book called It's Not the Cans: The Best Nutrient Balance for a Stronger and Healthier You

This is a potent product. 1/2 teaspoon equates to 25, 100 mg tablets in a single dose.

I bought this product primarily to neutralize the chlorine and chloramines in my bath water. Based on the science, 1000 mg of vitamin C will neutralize 100% of the chlorine and chloramines contained in 100 gallons of water. This equates to 10 mg of vitamin C to completely neutralize the chlorine and chloramines in 1 gallon of water.

The average bathtub holds approx. 30 gallons of water when full. This means that on average, you require only 300 mg of vitamin C to neutralize the chlorine and chloramines in a full tub. Of course, when we leave room for our body we do not completely fill the tub.

==> Let us assume we place 25 gallons of water in a tub to bathe in. That means we would need to add 250 mg of vitamin C to the water to neutralize 100% of the chlorine and chloramines. That equates to 1/10 of 1/2 of 1 teaspoon of this product!!!!

==> Let's say we want to be certain because your area may use a little more chlorine and chloramines to treat the water. So we decide to double the dose. This means we would add 500 mg of vitamin C to 25 gallons of bath water. This equates to 1/5 of 1/2 teaspoon of this product!!!

==> Let's be paranoid and go 4 times the amount of C for a 25 gallon tub, which equals 1000 mg. This equates to less than 1/4 teaspoon of this product!!!

5,000mg per tsp. and non-gmo so this is a great product. It came within 2 days(using Prime). I put it into some Welches grape juice & drink it a few times a day if I feel I'm coming down with something or been around people who are ill. I even give it to my kids.

I am using this mixed with water and glycerin. This is extremely easy to disolve in water and is at a very reasonable price. I have been using this in combination with vitamin E and am very impressed with the results I am getting. I used to pay 10x this for a small bottle of c serum. I am very happy with the quality and quantity for the price.

I use this to make my own Vitamin C serum, and it works great. You can find recipes online. I dissolve 1/4 teaspoon in 1 1/2 teaspoons of distilled water. It takes about a minute to dissolve completely, and then I have about 10 day's worth of serum. It's also a great way to get vitamin c if you don't want to take tablets.
