I was under the impression that when I ordered this from La Leela that I would be receiving the product not a card with a code for the Nutritsystem web site. The charge for mailing a card was overpriced. It should be stated in the information somewhere that they are just selling a card! And that you have to go to a web site and then sign up to get your product. I would not have bought this after seeing that I could get it cheaper on the Nutrisystem web site.

Costco sells this item for $199.99 (search for it on the Costco website, it's there). You can also purchase a $100.00 Nutrisystem gift card from Costco for $80.00. Every little bit helps!

I wish I could say the food is good, like they do on television, but I have to say, the food, well, tastes like any food you buy in a box that has to be microwaved, except you get a lot less of it to eat. I am used to home cooked food. This stuff makes me crave home cooked food and I know that is not good. I got a hamburger patty too, and I am reluctant to bother with it. I certainly don't relish the idea of soaking my burger first before I eat it. Yuck. The commercials all say the food is great and you're never hungry, that simply isn't true. Getting used to tiny portions of processed food is never going to be easy..what makes it hard for me is I have a family that I have to cook for. I am still searching for the one entree for either lunch or dinner that I love. None of the breakfast options are really that great, instant oatmeal, little bowls of cereal, breakfast bars..nothing special. Sigh...but I'll eat it because I paid for it, will I buy more? Hmm...I am pondering the idea of simply going with portion control, because If I ate my own food in these small amounts, I'd still lose weight. Especially now that I have the cookbook/guide that goes with this plan.

I bought this thru Amazon, sold by Charity Books.I received the card to order the food.Called in and the number on the card I called identified the card as a card bought from Cosco which sells for $199.00.And so Nutrisystem was not able to give me $248.00(28 days) of food, because the card was only worth $199.00!!!.This is a total scam and Amazon should not even sell this if you can't get you're money's worth..So they buy the card thru Cosco for $199.00 and sell it on-line to customers for $248.00..DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!

It's diet food, not gourmet. But with the extras you can add it's not bad and it works. After the first month you can pick what ever you want. And no weigh ins!!

I've just joined Nutrisystem in conjunction with taking a natural diet product from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009TAKESK/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I delayed trying Nutrisystem because everyone here said it tastes so bad. However, so far, I find this to not be the truth. I joined in the 40% off special they were having for at least 2 months auto-ship. Also, if you get this diet you might want to get some non-fat powder milk, Stevia, natural peanut butter, and frozen veggies and fruits (without sugar). Thatis, if you want to not have to keep going to the store. They recommend eating veggies and fruits with their program, plus Nutrisystem's customer service and counselors are awesome. Apparently this seller is just selling a card, and I don't know that this is such a bad thing. THE PRODUCTS DO NOT TASTE THAT BAD AT ALL FOR DIET FOOD, AND EVERYTHING IS IMPROVING IN TASTE, OR IS NOT NEAR AS BAD AS REVIEWERS MENTIONED THROUGHOUT THE INTERNET! Also their menu in the Core program offers a customized menu. After your first shipment you know what you like and don't like, but just stick with the program. I've heard and seen one too many people lose weight on this diet. Will try to keep you posted on my results. It's not just about a diet, it is about livelihood and well-being. If you do not see an update from me in a few months, please remind me, and I will tell you whatever will help or how good it worked.

I signed up for Nutrisystem's program over a year ago on a whim... They had a 40% off with 3-months automatic delivery deal. The worst mistake I've ever made. I was 127 lbs, hoping to lose 10 pounds or so and I thought this will save me time (no cooking required) and will help me achieve that goal in 3 months. A year later the food is still collecting dust in my pantry. :( Quite frankly Nutrisystem achieved what I thought was impossible: they produced a variety of dishes that are equally offensive to all your senses at once: your sense of smell, sight and your taste.

I have to say that their breakfast items and snacks are okay... Nothing tastes particularly good, but they are edible... Some of the muffins, scones, etc were very dry so I had to soak them in milk. Yes, that added calories to my "meals", but at least I could swallow the food. I ate all 3 months' worth of breakfasts and snacks without much of an issue. My deal also included their shakes, which were okay, but nothing great, so I still have some of those.

The real issue was with the lunch and dinner items. Aside from the portions, which were laughably small (and this is coming from someone who is not obese, just needed to lose a few pounds... I just can't imagine anyone 200 pounds or above not passing out from a "lunch" that consists of a tiny can of soup (120 calories and literally 6 spoonfuls...), there is also the issue of taste. NutriSystem lunches were either salty or tasteless. There was hardly any other taste. But generally the lunch items were still less offensive than the dinner "dishes."

I have to admit I was only able to try 6 of their dinner dishes, and I could not finish any of them. Let me share one experience that might stay with me for the rest of my life.
