5.0 out of 5 stars Effectiveness in a Tub
I've been using this stuff for a month now, and it has helped quite a bit. I have noticed that not only does it help me get things done more effectively, but also maintain a sense of control over the situation at all times. I would say it keeps me calm, but most people seem to view me as somewhat hyper or just in general not "calm" (normally), but this has helped me not...

I first found out about this product a couple of years ago following Romo on twitter, when he was pushing some holiday promotion. I found that the product works ok as long as I take it consistently. I don't notice any changes in my energy level or memory, but I tend to get somewhat frequent dull headaches, and taking this really did help with that. But the flavor! The chocolate flavor is decent, if a bit overboosted, but this Mixed Berry flavor is unbelievably bad. I can't tell if it tastes like vomit, or if I'm just barfing into my mouth a little bit when I drink this due to the synthetic flavor. Like another review notes, I hope Romanowski isn't spending much on protecting the "Trade Secret Flavor System" touted on the package.

I'm also a bit leery of proprietary blends. While the ingredients listed under Neuroblend is impressive there is no way of knowing how much of each is in there. For all I know of the 7 grams of Neuroblend in each serving 5 grams might be Taurine (the first item listed) and 2 grams of everything else. Probably not the case, but when I take supplements I like to know exactly how much of each item I am supplementing with.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, June 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been drinking Neuro 1 for over 8 years and have never had a problem. The 2 containers of Neuro 1 that I ordered this time were some how spoiled. The color was wrong, it was a light orange type red instead of a dark berry color and the taste was really bad almost like bad harsh medicine. This is not how the mixed berry tastes. I tried to do a search and see if there were any bad batches recently but couldn't find anything. It's not expired and it was sealed when I got it. Beware this batch.

I would say it keeps me calm, but most people seem to view me as somewhat hyper or just in general not "calm" (normally), but this has helped me not get stressed out to the point of not knowing what to do. For the nine to twelve hours a day I have been working, I constantly feel more capable and in control of the situation than I usually do.

5.0 out of 5 stars MM's Review, April 20, 2009
This review is from: Nutrition 53 Neuro 1 Caffeine Free Orange Cream 32.8-Ounce (2.05-Pound) Tub (Health and Beauty)
Neuro 1 will blow your mind!! I didnt realize how many small details I was missing in 1 days time! It's amazing that I ever got thru college without it, I'm sure my grades would have been a lot better with it. :) I no longer need to write little notes all over my hands and arms to remember what I'm supposed to be doing. And if I told someone that I was going to do them a little favor that afternoon i can remember to do it now without the constant text message & alarm reminders I used to set on my phone. Its worth every penny and I will be ordering from here on out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware on the Caffeine Free Version, September 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Nutrition 53 Neuro 1 Caffeine Free Orange Cream 32.8-Ounce (2.05-Pound) Tub (Health and Beauty)
We have been purchasing Neuro 1 Orange Cream for quite some time in the caffeine free version. It has a great orange flavor and enhances our protein shakes. Buyer Beware: The latest we have heard is that production has stopped on the caffeine free version.
Sub-supplier for Amazon Vita Supply claimed they had the caffeine free product in stock but, in fact, it was not caffeine free when we received the product. Be sure and check the container itself as the packing slip stated the product was caffeine free.
Great response from Amazon to refund our credit card for $10.50 that we overpaid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty awesome, March 7, 2011
I use Neuro 1 mixed berry, in a smoothie in the mornings. It is sweet but when your dumping it in with a bunch of fruit it doesn't really matter. (You'll get used to it in a couple of days). I've noticed that I am more focused and alert through the day. I love this stuff. I don't write reviews for the most part. But in responding to everyone who didn't like the taste, I would figure out a way to get it into something so you can deal with it. This is the first product I have actually seen results(except for creatine) Multivitamins, powdered greens, etc, I have not noticed any changes in the way my body reacts in the gym or at work with those products. However Neuro 1 is a different story. I am not an employee of Nutrition 53. I am 30 years old and have a white collar job. It can be hard to focus when sitting behind the desk all day. It has helped me at work & continues to work when I get to the gym. It hasn't effected my sleep in any way. I've been using it everyday for 5 months except on the weekends. I try not to take any supplements on the weekends just to make sure my body continues to absorb vitamins and minerals naturally without the supplements getting in the way.

1.0 out of 5 stars MAY BE good for you, if you like the taste of expired cough syrup!, February 6, 2010
I love LEAN1- Chocolate... but this neuro stuff? OMG! the aftertaste is enough to make you gag! HAS all the right stuff, and goes down fine. But the immediate aftertaste? Sorry, theres no fruit to mask this flavor/taste to make it any better! KEEP looking elsewhere! Think of this as vitamin fortified Robitussin.

Ugh couldn't handle the flavor of this product, too sweet, too artificial.

I will try the other flavor, Amazon was really good concerning the refund: their is a reason Amazon is my preferred online retailer...

I like the Neuro53 product, but this flavor is awful. Now I've only used it with water, with the chocolate, it's good, but I may need to mix this flavor with soymilk because it tastes bad. Go chocolate.
UPDATE: Tastes nasty with soymilk too!
