I am a first time Mom and sometimes, when I go to my doctors office, I don't always know the right questions to ask. There is so much information available, it can be overwhelming. It is so helpful to find such concise and thorough information in one place. I live in a rural area, and have had to drive over an hour for pregnancy nutrition classes. I have found that this video not only covers all the topics in those classes, but it provides so much more. It explains things very clearly and uses great examples. And it's a lot of fun, too! I am happy to have a reference in my home that I can return to again and again. I will use it for this pregnancy and the next one. I highly recommend this video to anyone who wants to have a safe and healthy pregnancy. I will be sharing it with all of my friends, and I think I will by an extra copy to donate to my local doctors office or library. It is a great resource.

Everyone who is concerned about nutrition during pregnancy should own this DVD. It combines much needed information with great examples. Kara has an excellent sense of humor which makes the video fun to watch. This is not only something that I can use for myself, but would make an excellent gift for family and friends who are expecting a baby. I highy suggest this DVD!! Great job!

A pretty informative video, however it could have been condensed a bit. My wife and I learned a fair amount from it. Beware though, it is painfully corny. So corny, that it made us wince at times. Overall, it is recommended for first time parents to be.

Being pregnant, I wanted to (and did) indulge in chocolate bars and ice cream regularly. However, the scale at my doctor's office gave me a virtual slap after my fourth visit...so I bought Nutrition During Pregnancy. What a hoot! I loved this DVD (and I am not one of those people who are "into" health). Kara's approach to nutrition education for the expectant mom is awesome--down-to-earth, light hearted, and educational (and NOT in an annoying way). If you're pregnant, I highly recommend it--whether you're in your first trimester or third.
