Many of the most widely used prescription drugs cause the body to lose nutrients and, as a result, cause nutritional health problems. Based on extensive scientific research, The Nutritional Cost of Prescription Drugs is the first book for the general public to describe the nutrient losses caused by prescription drugs and present ways to combat these losses and maintain good nutritional health. It's essential reading for all prescription drug users.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! What an eye opener this book is., June 1, 2000
By
This review is from: Nutritional Cost of Prescription Drugs (Paperback)
I have had the distinctive honor to hear both Jim LaValle and Ross Pelton speak in small group settings. The knowledge and information that these men have is astounding. I recomend this book to any person who wishes to be better informed about their health and well being. It is amazing to know how medication that is supposed to be helping us is actually depleting our bodies of essential and vital nutrients. This does not even count what we do not get because of the foods we do not eat or the foods that are depleted themselves. If you do not take some kind of daily supplementation, this book will make you sit up and take notice of your health. We can NOT get everything for vital good health from our food, we must get it elsewhere. If you are on any form of medication or even just have taken something for a short term, your body has been robbed of nutrients. I wish this book was 10 times as large, and only hope to urge Ross and Jim to produce a larger, follow up book. For those of you out in the trenches trying to help people get healthy through natural supplementation, this is a must have book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nutritional Cost of Prescription Drugs, April 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Nutritional Cost of Prescription Drugs (Paperback)
The book's biggest drawback is it's small size. The information it contains is excellent; there's just tons more drugs out there that the consumer needs information on. However, many commonly used drugs are listed. The index of brand names and generic names makes locating information a breeze.

2.0 out of 5 stars Time for an Update, December 3, 2009
This review is from: Nutritional Cost of Prescription Drugs (Paperback)
While this book was helpful a few times, there have been so many new drugs added to market, so much new information about how drugs act in the body, and so much more new information on the importance of nutrition, I think we are in great need of an updated version.
