5.0 out of 5 stars Delightfully informative and resourceful
With so many people today taking a variety of supplements, this book is an indespensable reference. Has cut my research time considerably. The book is like cliff notes, and if you do not know everything then you have to find the referenced items. I am not a doc and would prefer to have things written out for me. The info was good, but I had to dig a lot further for it.

Part 1, Illnesses and the effects of nutrients, is a brief summary of the scientific evidence of a particular supplement. It has chapters on Common Nutritional Deficiencies, Dangers of Nutritional Supplementation, Laboratory Methods for Nutritional Evaluation, Syndromes Due to Abnormal Tissue Nutrient Levels, Nutrient Bioavailability and Interactions. This is a must buy book for anyone that is involved in prevention of diseases.

I have had the good fortune to be in possession of the first and second editions of this valuable infiormation on the necessry part nutrition plays in good health and good fortune. As an RN of days gone by I was happy to share this information with every health care professional I contacted. Werbach opened the door which brought REAL attention to the importance of GOOD NUTRITION. Thank you for asking....

Sincerely, Roberta M Thorpe
