I just finished reading Doc Spreen's book and found it very informative. This is a great book for the novice who wants some basic information on the foods we eat, the American diet and supplementation. Doc Spreen writes in a very easy to read & often humourous way. Unlike other books I have seen, Doc Spreen seems to be just like the rest of us & though he knows what he ought to eat, admits that he sometimes doesn't which I find to be a refreshing attitude. This is a great book for someone just getting started to learn & care about their personal nutrition & health.
