5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for rides runs and planerides without the sugar!
I've always been a sporty person and one of those that buys gatorade/powerade for a ride or run and then I need to dilute it because the taste is too strong and the sugar content is way too high but then I've succeeded in diluting out the electrolytes too! Hmmm. Something better was needed.

I got introduced to NUUN a few months back after I ran into all sorts...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Fresh
I tried Nuun tablets earlier this year, and loved them. It made me decide to get this pack of them. Once they came in, there is a funny off taste that wasn't there when I had the fresher ones. So these things need an expiration date, and the ones I got were not fresh. They do go off.

This review is from: Nuun Tube - 8 Pack (Misc.)
I've always been a sporty person and one of those that buys gatorade/powerade for a ride or run and then I need to dilute it because the taste is too strong and the sugar content is way too high but then I've succeeded in diluting out the electrolytes too! Hmmm. Something better was needed.

I got introduced to NUUN a few months back after I ran into all sorts of issues on a bike ride where I counldn't hold down my usual drink. Since then NUUN's been my saviour for longer rides. I stop, refill bottles with water, drop in a nuun tab and I'm off with a non-sticky and sugar-free drink at the right electrolyte content. Plus using cold water instead of having lukewarm/hot gatorade is SOOO much better! Since getting into NUUN I've never run into hydration issues with NUUN and if it's a hot day then I've always got enough NUUN to keep going. For food I use GU's (for emergencies) and Larabars (for general on-the-go) which means I can manage my calorie intake as needed.

NUUN's also been great for just drinking instead of water at the gym and even at work and the fizzing tab is pretty cool plus easier and less wasteful than all the single serve emergen-c packs I have used in the past. I'm a fan of the Berry flavor most but all are good and the variety helps during longer exercise or plane flights.

5.0 out of 5 stars 4 Good reasons why I LOVE IT!, August 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
1. Subtle flavor, so it's not like some sweetened drink that will get you used to craving sweets.

2. No high fructose corn syrup as is found in many electrolyte drinks.

2. 8 tubes with 24 servings each. Technically, that's 192 servings in all, but I use a whole tables so it's more like 12 servings in each tube or 96 servings total.

3. Aside from my running days where I don't wish to stop, I prefer tablets because I can just add cold water when I'm ready instead of carrying around a lukewarm bottle of whatever.

4. EXCEPTIONALLY quick shipping, especially as it ships from a 3rd party. Road Runner Sports even includes a $30 coupon for purchases over $150. Guess where I'm buying my next pair of shoes...

5.0 out of 5 stars Won't leave home without it!, July 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After trying a sample of Nuun, I knew I wanted an ample supply. I'm not used to the Texas heat & dehydrate easily and unexpectedly, especially with being quite active outdoors. The taste is not sweet so at least you can add sweetener if you find it not sweet enough. I like the tablets instead of powder since powder tends to be difficult to work with on windy days(!) but I do wish the tablets were a bit smaller in size to fit into a narrow water bottle mouth. I just make a point to either buy water with a wide mouth opening or take my own water bottle with me (which I pretty much do at all times). The tablets aren't that hard to break in half to fit in a narrow opening, it's just a bit of a hassle. As far as bringing your electrolytes back up, this is one of the better products that I've tried. The best actually!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Hydration for Bicycle RIders, March 29, 2008
I love Nuun. I love bicyling. You will feel refreshed after you ride a long way and drink some water with Nuun. It's got vital stuff that replenishes what you've lost from the ride. I love the Cola. I highly recommend Nuun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Keeping Hydrated in Hot Yoga, August 28, 2011

I drop 2 tablets in my 32 oz bottle before practice begins and drink it throughout. Seems to help, as I sweat profusely (like a pig, a real big pig) during hot yoga and have had less trouble with dizziness after practice. I like that it has no sweeteners and has a mild taste. It would be a lousy mixer with vodka, but as a sports drink, it tastes as good as most.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tastes great and less filling!, July 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am an avid cyclist and have been having issues with "sports drinks" lately. I was using Hammer Nutrition Heed for awhile but felt that even though it was easy on my stomach, it still contained more sugar then what I really needed. Nuun is great. The tri berry tastes like grape with a little bit of grapefruit in it. Very light and refreshing. The electrolytes help keep me from cramping (which was a huge problem for me last season). I drink the Nuun in my water bottles and eat Lara bars for my calories. If I feel the need for sugar I will eat some Hammer gel. Its a winning combination for my cycling needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff, January 9, 2010

In my opinion, this is the best product of its kind. No cramps after drinking it, not a bunch of sugar in it, and it tastes good. It's a little pricey, but worth the extra cost.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great after Bikram yoga, September 8, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
From the first time I tried Nuun I could tell the difference in my recovery: I have more energy throughout the day, more alert and no more sleepy fatigued feeling after 6am Bikram class. I love Kona Cola in ice cold water. It taste like real cola sitting in melting ice - diluted and flat, not too sweet, not so intense... which I happen to like.
