I ended up purchasing this video card since the one built into the computer hooked to my HDTV didn't support HDCP. (Frackin' DRM!) It installed easily (once I figured out where the SPDIF pins were on my motherborad) and configured simply (once I figured out how to tell Windows to pay attention to the new SPDIF sound connection). Now I'm getting full 1080p from the Blu-Ray drive out to my HDTV.
One note: The passive heatsink while quiet (since there's no fan) does get hot. The fan in my computer is handling the heat just fine but I would recommend letting the card cool before removing it should you ever need to.

We found when editing AVCHD footage the video would not playback smoothly from the timeline in Adobe Premiere CS4 or Adobe Premiere Elements 7 on an HP d4100e computer with a dual core AMD 4200+ processor with a 300 watt power supply.
We pulled out the old video card and dropped in the MSI 9400GT 512H fanless video card. The video now plays back perfectly from the timeline. We also tried a 9800GT but didn't see any differnce for video editing, other than we would need to upgrade the power supply to 450 watts or higher if we wanted to use the 9800GT for daily work. So we stuck with the 9400GT which was less expensive and could run off of the stock power supply. Most reviews about the 9400GT rate the card poorly, but they are rating it based on game playing and not video editing. A few other people on the web have stated that you need a Nvidia Quadro card for video editing, but that simply is not true as the 9400GT works fine with everything we have thrown at it. So if you are looking for a good video card for video editing, look into the MSI 9400GT.

Video card arrived in the alloted time and in good shape. Installation was easy and quick. So far so good. Graphics are excellent. Recommend this item to any one who might need a graphics card.
