The bow is fine for a starter. If she really likes the sport and plans to continue we will definitely buy a nicer model. The arrows that come with the bow are another story. I realize they are "youth" arrows, but they are simply way too short. When you pull the strings back the arrow falls out of the arrow rest. Luckily we also purchased extra arrows that were long enough so she could actually shoot the day she got it.

I would recomend this bow to kids for ages 9 to 16yrs. Over all it is one of the best compoond bows I have used. Although if you have seen the way people pull the string way back to their ears, don't expect that from this bow. It has the same amount of power if not more, TRUST ME!!!, than most bows. Also, in my yard I do have a quite of bit of trouble finding the arrow afterwards. Within the first 24 hrs. of using it the tip of one arrow fell of. Lost that in the yard too!

The arrow rest was bent... and plastic so no way to fix. The arrows were too short to draw all the way. Just a waste of money. It is cute though.

All of the arrows broke the first day my daughter used this. She was shooting into archery targets at a range, not at a tree or something, so this was not our fault and was a bit of a disappointment. We had to get new arrows that first day. The arrows that come with it are much shorter than any other packages of "youth" arrows that the sporting goods store sold. It works now with better arrows thanks to helpful store staff who had some high quality arrows lying around that they cut down to a better size for her (longer than the ones that came with it, but shorter than other youth arrows). I wish that I had bought a bow from them (Gander Mountain) to begin with since they were so helpful.

This bow works well, however, it is not the size expected, and I had to order a larger one that would work for a 15 year old girl. This bow was a disappointment in the low size. If you have an 8 - 10 year old, this is the bow for your girl.
We just tried the bow out. The arrow holder broke off after only about 10 uses. Very poorly constructed, disappointing.

Pretty cheap made but ok for a kids first bow customer support was good they sent me some extra arrow rest free of charge. Youll need to add some nock points and sights on the string so your archorer in training wont lob arrows into the neighbors yard

Bow is very very small. The arrows are chincy. No sight or peep and there is no way to attach on to the very large cable.
