I used to use NyQuil for those nights you would be up all night coughing and it would "knock me out" so I can sleep restfully without the coughing or any other cold symptoms bothering me. The worst thing, when you are sick, is to not get any sleep at night. I bought some NyQuil because I have an awful cough and I need it so I can sleep and it has worked beautifully in the past. The new formula sucks. I had an awful night of sleep. It did almost nothing for my cough (I was still up coughing), I felt congested and had sweats/chills. It did not have that nice warm soothing feeling going down my throat and it did not "knock me out". The "old" NyQuil would have helped me sleep. I've very disappointed and need to find a new product now that will do what the "old" NyQuil did if one even exists.

If it weren't for Nyquil, I surely would have gone insane by now. Well, more insane that is. See, just about every night, for whatever reason, I have trouble falling asleep. Good thing I keep this stuff by my bedside. With just one chug of this bottle, I'm off to a cough-syrup induced coma-like state for the night within a half hour. Seriously, I could sleep my life away if I didn't have any outside distractions, thanks to this good stuff! Even at 7:00am when my alarm usually goes off, I'm still drugged up enough to sleep another eight hours! Marvelous. In all seriousness, if you have trouble sleeping, don't bother with something dangerous like Ambien, just take a swig of good ol' cherry flavored (tastes more like paint thinner to me) Nyquil!
