5.0 out of 5 stars An emotional journey December 28, 2011

Nyack Lighthouse was so hard to put down. I was so taken by the emotional/enlightening journey the character travelled. I know i totally felt involved in the character Steven's recounting his days.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific! December 11, 2011
By Hugh
Once I started reading Nyack's Lighthouse, I found it very hard to stop! The author does a great job of capturing many different emotions and allowing the reader to relate to the characters. There are numerous emotional, spiritual, and political excerpts that pull you in, and the vivid descriptions make you feel like you're in the story yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read December 10, 2011
This is not my usual genera of book. I normally go for fantasy/sci-fi. Having said that, this was a really great read. It pulled me along and made me want to read more. The characters were well developed and detailed. I could really feel them and feel for them. The growth of the characters made them seem real and very interesting. I especially like the grandma chapter. I haven't been that emotional since I saw "E.T." years ago. It is just one of many memorable chapters in the book.

The topics in the book were well thought out and seemed to fit in well with current events. What made it especially surprising was how the author pointed out how slanted and politicized the media is.

I highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in reading. You will enjoy it, and find the topic current and informative.
