This is nothing more than a USB A-B (5pin) cable that ships with many products these days, like digital cameras. You don't need to pay the extra money for someone to call it a "charge link". You can find a suitable cable for much less money.

Someone said that it was slightly longer than the one that came with the PS3. I guess that depends on which PS3 as for mine it is over three times the length of the included cable. This allows me to plug in a sixaxis mid game and to continue playing from my couch.

Short version...

This a good quality cable, that is long enough to charge a controller while playing a game. What more can you say?

This charge cable is wonderful. It's longer than the original one that comes with the PS3 so it allows you to sit back from your tv while charging your controller and have a complete view of your game like sitting in the back seat at the movies. If you're looking for a USB charge link then this is the one.

Ive read some reviews saying "this is just a USB cable" implying that you can use any USB cable to charge your PS3 controller. While that is true, you cant charge and play at the same time with a standard USB cable. The controller will shut off if you try to charge and play at the same time. So you need one that is compatible with the PS3 which this one is. Highly recommended!

Not much to say, other than I love the long cable because you don't have to sit on the ground in front the PS3 if you need to charge the remote. You can sit really far from the unit, on the couch or on your bed or where ever.

I bought this because it's longer than the charge link that comes with the PS3 does the exact same just longer.

This 10-foot cable is ideal for the PS3 controller, allowing you to comfortably play while charging. You could indeed find a cheaper generic A/B USB cable, but this one is still MUCH cheaper than purchasing an official PS3 cable. The pricetag on the Nyko is reasonable for such a reliable, sturdy cable. I rarely like or trust third-party accessories, but I'm quite happy with this cable.

You get a 'longer' USB cable. It can be useful when your Sixaxis needs a charge and you want to keep playing while it's charging - something that's not happening very often. Since I didn't have to pay for it (I got the 'pair' bundle), I don't mind them being around but their utility is marginal for anyone but a hardcore gamer who does not keep a spare, charged Sixaxis.

I bought it as a "play and charge" since the default PS3 mini usb cable is so short. The velcro wrap and the textured cover of the cable were very welcome "features" for $7 it's a little pricey but nice to have.

Definitely a must for PS3 wireless controller!

The 10 feet allows you to sit far from the big screen TV you have it hooked up to and allows for you to re-charge and play at the same time!
