I signed this book out of the library in my adolescence and sucked it up like a brown does a golden stone. There are a lot of similar books out there -- and some videos on tying and fishing nymphs as well -- that are useful. But because this book was a formative influence on me and I can not imagine having been without it, I have to give it all five stars. Indispensable.

This book is a godsend. I am a dry-fly fisher, not because it is my code, but rather because it is the easiest way to fish (but not the easiest way to catch fish). I had little skill in nymphing, and that is why I bought this book. Everyone says using nymphs are the best way to catch fish, but you need skill to use them, so I needed help. Let me just say that this book provided more help than I could have wished for, and has surpassed my wildest expectations. It is filled with great advice and very clear in instructing one how to use that advice. I would suggest this book to anyone that needs some help getting below the surface film to catch more trout.

A very easy to read discussion of tactics and tips. Very enjoyable read as well. If only I could get my friends Bill and Dave to read it, they might catch fish.
