Nice selection of chocolates but not exceptional
The Hylas and Nymphs 4-piece assortment from Chocolat Moderne were a nice selection of flavors and attractively designed molded chocolates, although they were not consistent in quality. I found the four flavors in Hylas and the Nymphs to offer their own unique experience as the flavors blend together in your mouth. La Dolce Grapefruit combines the sweetness of a caramel enveloping the tartness of the grapefruit. You then pair this with the dark chocolate shell and it pulls out the subtle undertones found in all great dark chocolates. Raspberry Rendez-vous is a beautiful blend of chocolate and raspberries. Simple yet complex at the same time. Parlez Pistache is one of my favorites. I love the pop of pistachio flavor and the crunch of the rice crisps as they mix with the chocolate. Havana Heat is a beautiful blend of all things dark. You have the intense flavors of the dark chocolate and then get a little surprise of heat on the back of your tongue as the chocolate begins to melt. Hylas and the Nymphs collection is a unique combination of flavors that offer a delicious journey for your taste buds.

The Hylas and Nymphs 4-piece assortment from Chocolat Moderne were a nice selection of flavors and attractively designed molded chocolates, although they were not consistent in quality. The pistachio praliné had a crystallized crunch to it that I did not find appealing although the pistachio flavor was fantastic. The raspberry chocolate was very sweet and not as tart and raspberry-like as I was expecting. I did enjoy the refreshing grapefruit flavor of La Dolce Grapefruit, and the spicy Havana Heat chocolate was a pleasant combination of spice and rich chocolate. They arrived boxed as shown in a cardboard bottom/ plastic top box with a ribbon encircling it, and then were wrapped in a gold tissue paper for shipping. The price seems high for four molded chocolates, but the flavor was good and they had good visual appeal.
