Long before I learnt to fly fish I was fascinated by the art of fly tying; these imitations of nature are pieces of art in their own right and Mr Tullis has made the art seem possible!
This 39 page, beautifully illustrated book, not only takes the reader through the manufacture of nymphs but also discusses aspects of trout behaviour, how to use the various nymphs, and different rigs. There are also photographs of the nymphs the fly tyer is trying to imitate from the Caddis Fly Larva to the Daphia. Twelve nymph patterns are given each with an informative resume on their use. I would recommend this book to anyone starting out on the nymph tying journey.
