Customer Reviews

Needless to say, this design flaw rendered the product useless.

I love this thing and it would be great for hiking, amusement parks, camping, and other outdoor summer activities!

The fan blades are made of a soft foam and they got bent and damaged.

Not sure why there are bad reviews for this. No, its not fancy but it does its job. We use this regularly for outings in the south Texas heat and humidity and haven't had a problem once. Its never leaked, it doesn't seem to drain the batteries very quickly and its more than adequate relief when its 102°F outside with 50% humidity! The blades are indeed soft foam, but that's not a bad thing! We've stuffed this into backpacks, stroller baskets, various bags, not to mention it has ended up stepped on in the car floor and manhandled by my two year old. Through it all we don't have a single broken or bent blade and the top has never popped off. Its lightweight and the spray is strong. Its a lot less bulky than some similar products that have completely covered, hard-plastic blades.

We let our two year old have this fan in his stroller at a VERY HOT faerieworlds last year and it was great. Soft blades can not hurt you and it sprays water. Kept him as cool as humanly possible in 100+ degree weather. Older kids used it too, and adults, and passers by...Just make sure you get the batteries in the right way or the blades will spin backward shooting the spray back at ya. lol

The spray nozzle is directly behind the fan blades. The fan blades are large. Hence the nozzle is spraying into the rear of the blades more often than not. more water drips down the back of the blades than is blown at the user. Would make a whole lot more sense with thin fan blades.

I was unable to find these fans in local stores, they were perfect for two children at Disney World. It would have been nice to select the color, but fortunately I received two blue fans. The fans work well, although the water container does leak around the cap.

Bought these for our Disneyland vacation with my kids. The first one stopped working on day one - we barely used it! and the second one's blades got bent so the fan wont turn. Too expensive for bad quality. Also wish you could pick the colors - I have two girls and got one pink one green - you can imagine the fighting over the pink one. Both ended up in the trash. I would have returned them but just pitched them at the park since we didn't want to haul them around - oh and they leaked too!.

I purchased this. Brought it home...put batteries in it, it worked. Awesome. Left the next day for camping in the hot sun, ...and the fan had already broke/ stopped working. I had it packed secure and safely...no damage to the fan or misting bottle. I even put in a new set of batteries to see if that was the problem. Nope. Just cheaply designed , poorly made and basically crap.

The senders left the 99 cent sticker on this and it didn't work. I don't mind paying a little more for a cheap item but this is insane, it could have at least worked for a day, maybe two but not at all.. Disappointing!

Much less effective and more cumbersome than the 8101 model. I bought this one to replace the 8101 I lost on vacation and as soon as I got home I ordered two replacement 8101 models.
