All in all a very nice compact functional fan.

Great fan for work puts out decent quiet air for the office. low power consumption and very portable and stylish.

I'd ran it using batteries, and it no longer works for either the battery or USB option.

I use it plugged into my computer's USB port and it works great! It's a perfect size for my desk at work, has great blowing power and the noise level is pretty good, not disruptive at all. Great for our new building where we're limited on wall plug-in space. The base is a circle with a cut-out in the middle of it, and I keep an unlit scented candle in the middle of that circle base, and whenever I turn on the fan, I get a nice blast of the scent.

Honestly, I didn't expect much from these fans. But they do they're job and I'm surprised at how much air they move. I use 4 rechargeable Enerloop AA batteries with them and they last about 10 hours. It's notable that the power port doesn't use a standard USB connector like you'd find on a cell phone (micro USB). While the other end plugs into a USB port, the end that connects to the fan is a connector more suitable for a power supply. This means you need to remember the proprietary cable when using it on USB. It's not a major ding, but it is something to consider if you wanted to leave the cable at home.

I bought 2 (separate orders) of these fans to replace a couple of 02Cool 5in portables that run on D batteries and AC. I prefer to use rechargeable AA batteries.

When the first one arrived I compared it to the old D version The D powered fan was running Duracell batteries that were lightly used but a couple years old. The AA/USB version had fresh charged Eneloop batteries

The D fan did push moderately noticeable more air but is significantly heavier and bulkier. The AA/USB was also a little quieter.

When the 2nd AA fan arrived I put in fresh Duracell AA Alkaline to see if they would
provide more airflow than the Eneloops.

The 2nd fan actually produced somewhat less air with the alkalines so I swapped batteries withe 1st fan and it again produced less air. The 2nd fan was a little slower no matter which batteries.

If the 2nd fan was comparable to the 1st I would have given this product 4 stars

Both fans deliver a decent amount of air for their size and weight as long as you
are only about 3 ft or less away. They both run slower on USB than batteries but should be sufficient sitting next to a computer with the fan pointed directly at a user.

I live in an older house with poor ventilation and few a/c outlets in the bathroom. I wanted an AA battery powered fan that could set on a shelf and help keep the mirror from fogging. This little fan does that perfectly.

Pros: AA Batteries (including the rechargeable ones that I have)
Compact
Folds very flat
Two speeds
Cons: A little noisy, but not too bad

I am very pleased with it!

We can not plug in any devices, such as fans or lamps at work. This USB / battery fan is ideal. It is very quiet and yet provides enough air circulation to cool my immediate work space.

I bought this fan to aim into my Pug's airline carrier for our first flight since I brought her home at 8 weeks (she's 6 months old now). I needed something compact but powerful enough to be of use and this fan fit the bill. It takes 4 AA batteries and I packed extra but after 12+ hours of running on the battery (about 9 hours on low, 3 on high) its still great. I love the stable base and that it is sturdy enough to toss into my backpack when not in use. The cover grill is safe enough that you can grab it while running and not worry about hurting yourself.

While it can run on AC power, you need (meaning not included) a "wall wart" that accepts USB cables (which my husband had because he's an IT guy). RCA PCHUSB2R Portable 2 Outlet USB Charger for iPod/iPhone/Blackberry and Other Devices

We also used it at an outdoor restaurant to keep our Pug cool and it's lightweight enough to hold if you have to. On low you barely hear it running. I'm very happy with it and would recommend to anyone needing extra airflow.

The only negative is that it has a slide switch that can accidentally be slid on.

Bought this for travel to Europe. Turned on high and it didn't last one night on that speed. These aRe brand new batteries mind you. It shut itself down to a whisper. It was so bad that a person couldn't tell by the noise if it was running or not. Replaced the batteries over and over. It did manage to operate a couple of nights on low speed then it would die. I sent the company an email asking them how long batteries should last on high speed and they NEVER responded. What does that tell you?
