Everybody Loves It !,

This review is from: O2Cool 3133 Mist 'N Sip X-Treme Hydration Bottle (Kitchen)
Now this product really works. I took it last summer to Fresno Calif.for a hot weekend, all my relatives loved it and were borrowing it to mist themselvs. I have orered 4 more now from Amazon, and will probably need to order more for this coming summer. Also the site at Amazon had great prices, buy 4 and one is free. they were priced only 6.99 each. and then the shipping was free.

Summer necessity!,

These wonderful devices are becoming harder to find locally, so I just bought 4 more to insure that I'll never be without one. I don't leave the house for any outdoor summer activity without one of these bottles. Fill it with ice and water and you'll have hours of cool, refreshing mist to help you beat the heat. It even makes mowing the grass more bearable. My original O2Cool is two years old and is still working perfectly, producing a fine, even mist while also allowing me to drink from the bottle. This product performs exactly as advertised.

I haven't been able to find this sort of bottle locally. It works exceptionally well for misting oneself on hot days. This is an essential Burning Man item. Good quality and a good price from Amazon.

I bought two of these water bottles, one for myself and one for a friend. Although the misting feature worked fabulously on both, neither one of us could get more than a dribble of water out of the mouth piece.

Durable and work perfectly. Load them up first thing in the AM with lots of ice and a little water, and by the time you need a drink or a refreshing spritz if cool water....you are set. Based on looking around extensively for something like this before our recent trip to FL, these are the best value in my opinion.

Good durable water bottle. Mister delivers a fine refreshing mist on hot days. My only complaint is that you have to suck the water out like a baby bottle.

I suppose this is alright as a mister gadget. I bought it with the idea of using it asa mister and water bottle both. But more a water bottle I suppose and mister second. If you don't put back pressure under the mister trigger when you drink it makes a whole lot of noise. Disconcerning in an office and also sometimes I take an icc-water bottle to bed in the summer. Again makes noise when you sip it. The hard plastic however is my most concern. It has leaked on me both because the trigger gets pushed in if I try to carry it in a bag or pack or even slipped along side a car seat. Have to watch that. Also I've had it leak if it gets turned over on it's side. Again perhaps the trigger is on the down side or rolls onto it but it's leaked. Several times however I think it's just the bottle it'self leaking around the screw together parts. I have always carried a water bottle and bear spray on the outside net pockets of my camera waist pack both on my bike and on my waist with zero concerns about the bottles I typically use leaking. Now anything you slip this bottle into you have to make sure the trigger can't be accidentally pushed in. Doesn't take full pressure to mist as it does to just leak. Plus side is it does mist as it suggests. It's more a novelty bottle than perhaps a carry around with you do everything one that never leaks or has leak issues. Also the upper mechanism takes up a lot of room so reduction in amount of water it will hold. I carry a second water bottle as a back up to this one when I do travel with this one....say kayaking on the river or lakes. And have not bothered to hike with it. I will try it on the bike but that trigger is always something of an issue and concern. Don't dare throw it inside my bike trunk with fear it will tip over and saturate my clothes and food etc. On the pro side I fill it with those half moon ice cubes all the way to the top and then fill with water and never have problems with putting the hose and lid on. The hard plastic doesn't always want to thread on correctly so I am careful when I'm closing the bottle to make sure I don't strip it out. I ordered only two and at first thought I wish I'd ordered 4 with the one freebie. But that was before the leaking issues happened. When you wake up with a soaked pillow in bed because it slipped over on your night stand. Was it the trigger or not? Now that it's leaked several times it's difficult to be as enthused. I will end up using both because this is not for everyone and my everyone else won't touch them. Pro***No plastic water flavor. And you can remove the mouth piece for washing....but it's not super simple. And I pump the trigger to pull hot water through the mister to clean out. Definitely don't use other than water in it. Like drink mixes and no citrus drinks like lemonade. It would be hard to clean those out with all the niches and crannies in upper lid system = a tough clean. I will continue to use with caution. But probably won't buy again. I still favor the plastic safety lid ones that protect the push pull drinking mouth piece from debri etc. I like them better than any of the aluminum ones I've tried too in attempts to get away from plastic. So plastic or not I'm staying with them. When we travel we like the platypus pints and quarts that we pre-freeze as ice packs and drink as water thaws from them. We refreeze whenever we can refill with clean good tasting water and have a chance to do so. The Platypus bottles are what we will carry on an over night hike down the Grand Canyon as you should carry a gallon or 1.5 gallons per person. Eight pounds at least of water in your pack is substantial. But it's a lot lighter on the return trip:))) |
