It is a known fact that in order to create a 50% increase in your sub bass system you would need to double the power. For example, if you are hitting 135 dB's with an amp that produces 500 watts of RMS power, in order to hit 138 dB's (50% louder) you would need 1000 watts of RMS power. Taking it one step further, to double your dB''s (increase of 6 dB) you would need an additional 2000 watts of RMS power. However, if you are looking to add bass to your car audio system, but don't have the money to buy a new amp, you might want to consider upgrading your speaker box instead. Now you may be asking yourself how a simple subwoofer enclosure is going to achieve the same results as adding massive amounts of power? The short answer is by cutting a port hole in your sealed enclosure. With a sealed sub box you are hearing only half of what your subwoofer is producing. However, when you make access to the back side of your woofer via a port hole, the sound can increase up to double compared to designs where the woofer's back side is sealed off. I recently just purchased this sub box for my 04 f150 extended cab
and I must say that this product is fantastic. I just changed from an Atrend sealed box and the difference is night and day. It is much larger than I thought it was, but was kind of prepared for the size from the picture. I put a Rockford Fosgate P3 Punch shallow mount sub in here and the sub was slightly bigger than the pre-made hole. It is easily fixed and now fits nicely under my rear drivers side seat with just an inch sticking out. At first I fit the sub without it's grill and the sound was really good until I put the volume half way up. Although I never listen to music that loud, because my audio system is pretty good already, the performance of the box was fantastic. I could hear a slight distortion from the deeper bass, but it wasn't very bad at all. After I put the grill on the sub it performs at top form. Very good box, just make sure you measure the sub you want and the hole of the box before you buy. This is a great product for the price and anyone with an 04-08 f150 should use this box. Highly recommended and being ported really enhances the bass.

When i first got this box, i was kind of worried that it was going to sound weird because it is firing up at the seat instead of down at the floor. But i have been pleasantly surprised on the sound. The quality of the box is fantastic and the connections on the inside of the box are exactly what i wanted. it is a big box and a very tight fit but i think that helps with the non rattling of the seat in the back. This is a great product for the price.

Buy this box, it lets the air out so the sound is more effective! My one 10" kicker in this box sounds like its going through my body! It's very loud, and it wouldn't be this loud without this fantastic box! I'm very impressed with it and it also fits perfect under my seat!
