I've found most everything I was looking for all in one source! If you like collecting cars and trucks, you must have this book!

For Matchboxes, very difficult to find and reasearch based on a proprietary numbering system. Numbering system not clearly articulated in overview. I had to purchase a new "Matchbox specific" guide from another publisher.

Information seems to be well organized and spelled out, but was disappointed that there were so few color pictures.

Lots of information in this book but not easily located without reading the entire book. If you want to look up a specific toy there is no way other than finding the brand then reading every description.

A must have for collector's. Very thorough! i refer to it all the time. Very modestly priced--a super bargain.

O'Brien's books are always jam-packed with good information. But, it's a data book, not a picture book. There are lots of B&W photos but to include enough to show everything would require a book too huge to print. So, experience helps when referring to or looking for something in this book or its companion books. When I first began collecting, it was nearly useless to me. A few years later I find it very helpful and I am glad I have it in my library.

This product was sent to me very quickly and I am enjoying reading and learning about old collectible toys. I have a collection of cast iron vehicles and I have some other reference materials that addresses this kind of item more specifically, but it is fun to read through these old time toys and remember enjoying them as a child.

What a neat surprise! This was a new book for a used price.
