Aesthetically, this sleeve is very much like that of the Kindle DX itself; clean and simple with an understated elegance. Composed using a rigid, yet flexible shell made from faux leather and a soft padded microfiber interior, this case snugly cushions the Kindle DX allowing for maximum protection. Available in a variety of colours - see link below.
The non-slip padded interior is composed using microfiber lining which is a soft suede-like material. Molded to snugly cushion the Kindle DX, this sleeve offers protection against the elements; scratches and impact resistance whilst in your messenger bag/briefcase. The Kindle DX can be stowed in either direction which allows for protection whilst charging.
Slim and lightweight by design, this custom fitted sleeve is so flat and bulk free that it stacks well with other books or papers. Quick and easy to remove, via the purpose designed opening, simply pull for smooth retrieval. Slide the Kindle DX into the sleeve to protect it when not in use.

Simple yet stylish cover for the Kindle DX. This cover is a rich brown and the material is surprisingly nice --not just made for protective purposes but aesthetic ones as well. I was surprised, but happily, that the entire case is a hard shell, I had thought it would be a softer cover, but I'm very pleased that it is so durable and protective. The Kindle fits very snugly inside -- it won't slide out accidentally, but you don't struggle to get it out either. Very light, very protective, highly recommended!

I ordered this as an interim cover, as the initial DX cover selection was slim. However, I am VERY PLEASED with the product and see no need to get another cover. It is slim and sturdy - much better than expected. It has a snug fit to the DX and is quite stylish. Great product at a great price - I highly recommend it.

In my opinion this is the perfect case for the Kindle if, like me, you want minimal bulk while reading and storing your Kindle.
Pros: A sturdy, well-made case that totally protects the Kindle with the least amount of bulk. Case is snug so you don't have to worry about the Kindle slipping out. Less expensive than the leather cases! Looks good, brown with an unobtrusive "Octo" logo embossed on one side, stitched edges.
I also inadvertently tested the case, dropping the Kindle a few feet while in the case. I believe it hit on a bottom corner and neither the Kindle nor the case is the worse for wear.
Cons: Not really a problem as far as I'm concerned but someone mentioned the strong synthetic smell. I noticed that as well when I first opened the box - probably the glue for the flocking inside that keeps the Kindle getting scratched. I let the case air out without the Kindle inside for a couple of days (while I waited on my Kindle to arrive) and the smell is pretty much gone. I would have liked it better if the case was leather but it would have cost more and probably been a little bulkier. And leather smells initially as well!
