I have accidentally left this drive in my pants pocket on TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS!

Twice it washed (with liquid All), spun, rinsed and spun dry!

The data wasn't disturbed in the slightest and I continue to use it with confidence!

I've never had a Flash Drive fail on me in the past several years, and this flash drive still works 100% after two months of heavy use. What makes this flash drive more reliable than others? I can't say as they're all the same to me.

The main reason I chose this particular drive is the "DIESEL" brand, as ridiculous as it may sound. I tune diesel vehicles for a hobby and I load tune files on the flash drive all the time. Some of my customers are amused by the "DIESEL" drive and they ask where I bought it.

I'm however giving this product 4 stars because it uses a detachable clear plastic cap that can easily be lost. It'd be nice if it had a capless retractable USB design, or if the cap is tethered to the flash drive to prevent losing it.

The clear plastic end of the flash drive broke off. It's the part that connects to a keychain or lanyard. I lost the drive until someone found it on the ground (outside). I bought crazy glue to put the plastic end back on and it's holding up fine. I would change my item score to 2 out of 5 stars for this serious flaw - I could have permanently lost my flash drive with valuable data stored on it!

This is a compact USB drive, about the size of my old Lexar Firefly. It is also pretty fast, 6.6 MB/s write speed and 19.1 MB/s reading on my computer. But the cover over the USB portion does not snap in place, it just slides on and it will probably slide off eventually (1 star off). Plus you have to set it aside while you are using the drive so it could get lost before then. The keyring loop on the back is a super thin piece of plastic that broke after a few weeks. That's the design flaw (2 stars off). For a while I glued a heavy duty paper clip around the outside, but it would work itself loose from that after a few months. So I wound up drilling a small hole through the clear plastic, just behind the black casing and putting a very thin lanyard through the hole.

Follow-up: Two years later I am still using this drive and it recently went through the washing machine and still works. I have seen similar looking drives with other brands, so this is still being produced in some form. And I still have the cap that I thought I would lose in no time.
