The DDR3 RAM is expensive no matter what you get so I decided to go with OCZ and get a good brand. Works as expected OC'ed and all.

I wasn't trying to overclock it or anything... I just thought the price was good. I was a little worried about the added thickness of the heat spreaders but they fit no problem. Not much more I can say. I've had good luck with all my RAM purchases in the past and only time will tell for the OCZ Platinum Series.

Despite a lot of research, I managed to overlook the voltage specification for this one and bought it for an i5 system. After spending a few sleepless nights mulling over a possible processor burn out because of the 1.8V rating, I finally assembled the system and I am glad to inform that this memory just rocks. This memory manages to undervolt to 1.5V without batting an eyelid and still gives rock solid stable and fast performance. This was a top of the class memory for the Core 2 class, but this might as well be a good and cost effective memory for a core i5/i7 system.

Its my firts time purchasing OCZ products and i am so glad,, it works pretty fine with my MObo Intel DP45SG just awesome speed., also a core 2 quad of course.. jejejeje.-- Hope be useful this review.. No Doubt Ocz Rocks!!! Sorry my english.LOL

What can I say about this RAM? Well, it's fast, energy efficient and has never given me a stutter. If I had the money right now I would buy another set to expand my RAM count to 8GB. Highly recommend for gaming and editting!

I had little problem using this memory in my P45 DDR3-2200X4 UD3 1PCIEX16 4PCIE 2PCI 6RAID Gbe 12USB Gigabyte EP45T-UD3LR motherboard. I got 8 gbs installed in. Just remember to manually set the timings in the bios if you encounter problems.

CL 7-7-7-20 at 1.8 volts and you should be fine.

There isn't much more to say other than I like the quality and since bought the DDR2 platinum series for my father as a birthday gift. OCZ is definitely great.

I started my new comp off with a 4GB pack of this RAM, and am now thinking of getting 2 or 4 more gigs of the same stuff! No compatibility issues with my hardware: Asus P5Q3 Mobo, Q9550 processor OC'd @ 3.5ghz, GTX 260 SC, 700 watt PSU. Although I could have gone with the 1600MHz ram, I wanted to save some money, and for the price, this stuff works great. OCs well, though I have it running at standard clock speeds to make it last. Kudos to OCZ, this is good RAM.

Make sure your system's Mobo and BIOS can support the timings and frequency before you buy any RAM! Memory bind-ups or compatibility issues cannot always be resolved.

I bought this RAM for a Asus M4A785M-EVO, running Windows 7. I used the auto clocking feature in the BIOS but I kept getting a hang. I found that when I manually clock the memory that I got that full stability I was looking for. The RAM is solid it doesn't seem to get very warm. I can't wait until I have some more money to purchase another set. Not sure if I would buy it from [...] again, they shipped it late. Not to happy with [...], but the RAM is solid purchase.

As with all current DDR3 modules on the market, getting the timings correct in the BIOS is crucial to having a stable system. Unfortunately because each board is different, not all timings can be published in a ready to use easily referenced manual.

Thankfully, OCZ support is phenomenal. Upon calling the 800 number on the package, I was connected to tech support within 30 seconds and was able to talk to someone knowledgeable and friendly that did NOT have an indian accent. He assisted me with getting the timings correct and getting my system up and running and stable, and he did it without charging me an additional fee.

This particular kit seems to be outdated and overpriced by about 100% (even if it was new). Check other websites for newer DDR3 and actual market price. Could not find this item at any other computer store (i.e. Newegg, MicroCenter, Frys). I ordered this item after a long night of research, and actually intended to purchase the Mushkin Redline DDR3.
