Pros: Great DIY laptop PC, was able to load Win XP & Vista as a dual boot setup. Had very little problems loading Windows. For XP there was an issue with the sound but had to go into the DEVICE MANAGER to disable a component then the sound drivers installed. Inside this laptop:OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5400), Fijitsu 250 GB hard drive intel t9300.
Great for gaming. This is the best way to go for a XP/Vista Laptop.
Cons: The NVIDIA drivers for this laptop are not available at the NVIDIA site so I hope that OCZ will update the drivers. Currently it's dated 6/2007. Speakers on the PC is OK.
Other Thoughts: I hope to see parts become available for purchase like the battery and power cord. I will plan to get turbo memory and install it. Added a drop of thermal paste to the CPU. The manual from OCZ is a bit different, you don't have to take off the control panel. The Laptop does include the wireless card and bluetooth. I use a Targus Notebook Cooling Mobile X Notebook Stand for cooling. Take the time to learn about installing laptop PC parts and read up on the forums online regarding Win XP and Vista, these resources will help you in successfully building this laptop.
