I ordered this for my Mac Mini. It uses less power, generates less heat, it's faster and much quieter than the factory Hitachi 5K250-80 80gb hard drive. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it isn't as fast as the OCZ Agility or Vertex SSD's. That doesn't matter in the Mac Mini though, because the Mac Mini has a SATA I interface, not SATA II. The speed is just fine for SATA I. This drive works just fine at SATA I speeds without a jumper. 64gb is smaller than the factory 80gb drive, but it's plenty big for the OS and 22 hours of iTunes music with room to spare. I'd rather have the 128gb Onyx, but the used 64gb Onyx cost 1/3 as much.

1. This is prior generation technology - check read/write specs.

2. Current mid/top end price for SSD is $2/GB - this is not comparable to current generation SSD so you should not pay current generation prices for it.

3. I purchased this SSD for $67.99 (with free shipping) just a week ago - so shoot for something as close to $1/GB as possible.

4. Be cautious with OCZ - you will find numerous reviews indicating higher failure rate than other brands. Consider Kingston, they have frequent sales/rebates and appear to have higher quality - I also have one of their SSD drives and it performs very well.
