Best perfomance with this price. I used at Pentium D 830 (Known as make most high temp from Intel CPU) No problem and You don't need "Thermal Compound". Already applied on the base(more than enough).

The item arrived as promised - great job, Amazon.

The product packaging was pretty sparse, and the fins on the heat sink were a bit bent. While it's probably not OCZ's fault, I gotta say that the mounting (Intel standard, apparently) really stinks. I've mounted everything from socket 7 to the present day, and these plastic thingies are cheap and don't inspire confidence that they'll keep this big boy cooler where it needs to be.

I can't speak to the cooling performance, since it's only been in use a few hours. The fan is pretty quiet.

All in all, it's OK for the money.

Pros: This is one great CPU cooler. It keeps my AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (125 Watt) fairly cool while being alot quieter than with stock cooling. When running Folding@Home SMP with my stock cooler, the 70 mm fan would run at about 7,000 RPM, literally screaming (a bit too loud) and would still have trouble cooling the processor as it would actually hit the maximum temperture threshold and would sometimes turn off the system to keep it from overheating. With this, the 92 mm fan runs at about 2,500 RPM and actually cools the processor at a few degrees Celsius lower than stock. I have yet to have the system turn off from overheating with this CPU cooler.

Cons: I had to get help with installing the cooler as my motherboard had the heatsink clip connectors in a different direction than with other motherboards. Other than that, nothing.

Other Thoughts: This CPU cooler is really good for the price. I would buy it again.
