The fastest USB drive I've ever used and I have a pile of them catching dust in a desk drawer. I run the PortableApps suite and the applications run so fast it's hard to tell it they are running from the flash drive or from the hard drive. Like all flash drives, copying many small files is not quite so fast, but if you need to run Firefox, Thunderbird, Open Office, etc from a flash drive. This is the way to go. Very pleased with the purchase and it shipped to me in 2 days.

This 4GB drive is[...], but it puts every other 4GB to shame. I've bought other smaller capacity drives before, and they are painfully slow. This drive transfers at 30 MB/s. It is amazing, almost like it is a part of the hard drive. I personally have not tested the durability like other people, but the drive feels solid in your hand, and based on the other reviews, i am not scared of the devastating losing work in the washing machine anymore, along with drops and spills. (It is nice to not worry.) The size of this drive is a little on the bulky side (especially with the cap holder), but it isn't annoying to carry around, and i usually just keep it in my backpack. The cap holder is a nice feature, although it makes the drive seem much bigger in your pocket for obvious reasons.

This is a good drive to install anything on, as its speed will not slow the program down.

My drive suddenly stopped mounting. Luckily, I had no important data on it as I could not access it. However, OCZ RMAed it no questions asked, so I got a brand spanking new one. I wouldn't have been happy if i had lost data, but because I did not I am okay with it. I could not find any information on the internet which makes me believe this was a rarity.

22MB/Sec write speed and over 30MB/sec read speed.

The only thing i don't like about this drive is the cap... I really wish they had a retractable one like the sandisk cruzers.

But if you are looking for a fast flash drive... nothing beats it (as of when i wrote this)

I like this product. However it abruptly stopped working. I could get no warranty service at all and after only 30 days use, I was unable to get a replacement. Oh well, It's still a great drive.

I've bought three of these OCZ 4GB Flash Drives over the last year or so and have had no problems with them. My initial purchase was because, according to the everythingusb web site (obvious URL), this thing was one of the fastest thumb drives around. Apparently, and surprisingly given the pace of technological change, it still is. With its rubberized yellow-and-black exterior, it's pretty rugged and big enough (and visible enough) that we still haven't lost one. No complaints. I rate it at an Excellent 5 stars out of 5.

The OCZ ATV Turbo 4GB USB thumb drive is a super nice unit. Compared to other USB thumb drives it is VERY FAST indeed. 99% of other drives get left in the dust by this thing. It is somewhat expensive. You pay for that speed. It doesn't come with extra features. I fid that sometimes those extra features hinder you ... such as when there is software built into the drive that you want to disable, but you cannot figure how to. There is no additional security for this drive. Judge for yourself if you need a secure thumb drive and purchase accordingly (give it thought - be wise). There are ZERO security features on this drive ... that suits my needs just fine. As far as I can see in April of 2010 as I am writing this the production/distribution of this exact model has ceased. OCZ is now making the 8 GB version of this drive available to the distribution channel. That version is, of course, twice as expensive as the 4 GB version. Keep in mind that the 4GB Turbo model from OCZ is made with single layer cell NAND flash technology and will last MUCH longer than the normal multi-layer cell kind. I'm not sure what is in the currently available 8GB Turbo model. Single layer cell technology is what gives you the speed. The huge NAND manufacturers may well have transitioned away from the single layer cell NAND flash technology. Bummer.

This product is marvelously quick! The only complaint I have is that I wished
it came with synching and password protection software. There may be equals or near equals
in terms of speed but nothing is faster!

First of all, I got OCZ for its speed. And it didn't disappoint me. It's much faster (esp. in writing) than the other Cruzer or Sandisk drives I have.

There're small design glitches, mostly minor but sometimes annoying.

1. The key chain is a piece of junk. Mine was broken after 3 months.

2. The lid/cover is way too loose. I lost mine within a month.

3. It's impossible to put key rings with this drive because of the way its key ring hole is designed.

This is the fastest thumb drive I've ever tried. Transferring files to the drive was as fast as transferring files from one folder to another on the same HDD (Hard Disk Drive). Some have complained about the flimsy chain for the drive cap holder but I found it adequate. Just don't use it to pull the thumb drive out with and it should be fine. The case is non-slip and very rugged. I coveted this drive for a long time and when it came available with a [...] I snapped it up.

It operates much better with PortableApps on a MojoPac session than the SanDisk Cruzer. I'd recommend it for that.
