Especially for the price, which is almost nothing. However, as someone pointed out, you need software to go with this cable so it can connect the phone to the PC. You need to download Samusung PC Studio (you can find it on Brothersoft) and install that, update it and then connect the phone via the USB cable and you're good to go! The PC Studio is very intuitive and makes it simple to work with files.

After you get this cable and download the PC studio, you will also need a "mini SD" card to put into your phone.

This cable allows transfer of all files between PC and phone, But you have to download the right version of PC Studio, SGH A777 is not compatible with recent PC Studio versions. Go back to PC Studio 3, version 3.2.3.IE2, try that for a start. (Be sure to scan with a virus scanner before opening.

You can also charge the phone through the USB port with this cable. Shame on Samsung for not including this and the software with the phone. (But I'd never buy another Samsung product anyway--that's another topic for review!!)

Bottom line, this cheap cable is as good as any of the super expensive ones.

It took just days to receive my cable and .01 car charger. I downloaded Samsung PC Studio 3.2.1 from [...], completed all the updates, connected the phone to my PC via the cable and I was done!!! Was simple!

This is a basic USB data cable for the Samsung SGH-A777. It worked fine. No problems.

Not pleased with this purchase. You can wow people with the cheap price but let's face it, the cable isn't even worth a fraction of what I paid. Regardless this cable refuses to be recognized by my PC and I have read up on the other comments, have installed various versions of PC Studio and it still does not work. The cable this was meant to replace worked fine for over 3 years. Unfortunately I rolled over it with a desk chair and broke it. It did not require PC studio and it actually functioned. Don't waste the $3 if you've got an SGH A777.

Also shipping through DHL is stupid. It sat in transit 2 towns over for 4 entire days.

Great item, works great, very useful to transfer your own free ringtones!
I have been using this item for a few weeks, have created my ringtones with nero by cutting a song into the piece that I like and then converting it to an mp3..
This was very easy and helpful, you can also take your pictures out of your cell phone and put them back in your computer, or transfer full songs to cell phone to listen to later.

works great and great price helps me to be able to access my photos from my phone also helps me get a quick charge for a weak battery.

Purchased this cable for my Samsung cell phone. Seems to work fine--I'm a little disappointed with the Samsung manual that doesn't explain how to to use it, though.
