COunterfeit battery AGAIN! This time from The OEM Shop,

This review is from: OEM MOTOROLA BR50 Battery RAZR V3 V3c V3m V3e V3i V3t (Electronics)
This is the 3rd "OEM" battery I bought via Amazon Marketplace -- as with the others, it was terrible. I ordered form the OEM shop a BR50. They sent a BR56 which is supposed to be even better with 3 hours talk time. It did not last 30 minutes after a complete overnight charge. Nowhere as long as the battery I am trying to replace which lasts over an hour instead of the original 2 1/2 hours.
OEM sent a counterfeit fake battery --- not OEM. How can you tell? Because Motorola OEM batteries are made in Japan. These say clearly that they are made in china. I had the same problem and returned the same battery from Wireless Phone Accessories and Batteries4Less. AMAZON_- you should be screening these sellers and addressing these issues. There are a ton of posts under every single one of the Motorola Razr battery listing that say they got bad or counterfeit batteries. Theses companies make their money by selling junk, counting on the Amazon customer not to feel it is worth the hassle to return it. For every one I have to return I lose an hour of my time. My time is worth more than th $10 I get ripped off for. But I do it anyway b/c hopefully at some point AMAZON is going to take responsibility for the conduct of their market sellers. AMAZON's new logo is to become the most customer centric company on earth. Well AMAZON, you can start here: Bargain Cell -- which is one of the worst offenders, Wireless Phone Accessories and now the OEM Shop -- what a joke for a name for the last one since clearly they KNOW they are selling counterfeit batteries. I paid $30 for one from batteries4less hoping to get the real deal -- I got the exact same batter I got from the OEM shop -- the exact same counterfeit. So it has nothing to do with the price paid. Just dishonest online sellers.

This product is a defective.,

I ordered several items from Bargaincell in March 2008. I ordered the BR50 and a 3 piece combo of battery chargers. The chargers consisted of a desktop, vehicle, and ac plug in. The chargers are all fine and an outstanding value. The battery is another matter. It appears to be authentic when comparing it with the OEM battery. When I charged it and put it in the telephone the charge never lasted more than two days. If I made any calls on the phone, the battery would last maybe a day. Since the cost was $4.65 plus $2.98 for shipping I thought it would be a waste of time to send it back. The battery has four contacts. At this time I do not know if the B50 has two or three cells inside. I checked the contacts with a volt ohms meter after charging the battery fully. One of the contacts showed no charge. The OEM battery showed all contacts providing a charge. This indicates a defective manufacture or a poor counterfeit. I decided to keep the thing and use it to save the new OEM battery. After using this battery for about 9 months another problem surfaced. The battery lid on the telephone started to pop off. The lid would not click and close properly. I was going to return the phone to Motorola within the warranty period because the battery lid would not close properly. After about two months of this aggravation, I took out the Bargaincell "bargain" and put the OEM battery back in the phone. I was surprised to find the battery lid fitting perfectly on the phone again. Carefully examining the Bargaincell battery revealed a slight bulge in the center on the top label side. This company is selling a piece of garbage. Is the battery a factory reject or a counterfeit? Only Bargaincell knows.

So so replacement,

As compatible battery replacements go, this one is only so-so. I realize the cost was less than $5 so the fact that it does not work well is not a huge problem...sometimes you do get what you pay for.
OEM replacement from Motorola is $35 in our area, so taking a flier on a cheap replacement seemed a noble experiment. Unfortunately, this replacement does not hold a charge for as long as the 2-year old, OEM battery it replaced. The battery does work, but needs to be recharged daily. Time to try another replacement from a different manufacturer.

If your reading this review then your probably like I was a couple of months ago. Your in the market for a replacement battery for your Motorola Razr. You've searched the web high and low and compared prices and vendors and you keep coming back to Amazon and the really low prices and you keep asking yourself - How can these batteries be legitimate with such low prices?? You read the reviews over and over and find that some people leave very positive reviews and some leave very negative reviews and those negative reviews are what's holding you back from buying and you read and compare and read and compare and can't pull the trigger. Thats what I did for nearly a month before I finally said what the hell, its only a few bucks, lets see what happens. So I purchased this battery and got it within a few days. I popped it into my phone and I'm happy to say its been working perfectly fine for the past two months. I can get at least 2-3 days of standby time without recharging and thats all I'm looking for. No issues, no complaints. My point at the end of the day is the battery I got was legit and it was exactly what I wanted and the price is the real deal.

Lower power battery then OEM battery in Razr V3m,

This is a 710mAh battery. The original, stock battery in a Razr V3m is 780mAh. This battery is less powerful and will provide about 25% less run time then the stock battery in the Razr V3m. Check your battery mAh rating first, it's marked right on the battery.

Thanks to the vendor I am able to keep my RAZR phone working. The vendor came through on sending what was advertised in a very timely fashion. Highest marks the vendor. Low marks to my phone carrier who told me they no longer carried the battery and tried to seel me a new phone.

I have a Motorola Razor and a good rate on my plan so I didn't want to change my plan but I was having to charge the phone every day. The new battery works great, was easy to replace and I can go back to charging it once or twice a week. It's great!

We received the BR50 battery a few days ago for my wife's RAZR cell phone. She tried using it for a few days after charging it and it won't hold a charge after making a couple of calls. It is actually worse than the old battery we tried to replace. It turns out this "new" battery was made in 2006, according to the code on the battery. The old battery that we were replacing was made in 2007! So we put the old battery back in. I probably won't bother to try to get a replacement since I only paid $7.29 for it. If you buy one of these try to verify the manufacture date ahead of time.

I am dissatisfied with the company that provided the battery I ordered the Motorola BR50. They sent me a Motorola BR56. It will not work in my phone. I have tied. I returned the battery with a request to send the BR50 or return my money. I have not heard back and it has been two weeks.
