Great for What's Available,
The guide put out by the Smithsonian is great, but the only copy I could get was old since the museum is coming out with a new guide soon. It contains maps, pictures, an indication of exhibits at each museum, etc. I would recommend it for anyone who is going to visit the Smithsonian. The guide helps you to make intelligent decisions about what you want to see in the time you have to spend.

I found this book to be incredibly helpful in giving me some background to what I can expect at the Smithsonian. Being on a tight schedule, I know I can't see everything, and this book helped me to create my "must see" list!
